Do you have a 80 GB, PS3?
Because if you have, then RE:CoM can't be played on it :(. I think that any other PS3 will be able to play it.
Read this: N4G.com : Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories not playable on 80GB PS3

(UPDATE)
I found this. This might help:

Save Game Files: (Read Instructions to Use)
Difficulty: Easy http://lastgeek.com/files/easy/BASLUS-21799434F4D2D3031.PSV
Difficulty: Normal http://www.lastgeek.com/files/normal/BASLUS-21799434F4D2D3031.PSV
Difficulty: Proud http://www.lastgeek.com/files/proud/BASLUS-21799434F4D2D3032.PSV
Download Instructions:
1. Download Save Game File
2. Place Save Game File in a folder called “PSV”
3. Place “PSV” folder in folder called “Export”
4. Place “Export” folder in folder called “PS3″
5. Place on USB Drive/Memory Card and insert into PS3
6. Transfer save game file to PS3 using Memory Card Utility (PS/PS2) in the XMB

The real problem is that the game is supose to let you get the card of Donald, but instead the game gives you the card, and that is why you can't go any further till you go for the card yourself, and thats a problem that we all have.I would try to take the saved game from Gamefaqs, but if I do that I can't understand the the method of control of the cards.

Exactly why you should keep your PS2 with you at al times, for old data on certain games, and also to be sure you can play every game.
