Account transfer

I have a friend who recently bought herself a new phone. Galaxy S7 Edge. She had an HTC previously. Her account was connected to her Facebook. After she installed the game on her new phone, wouldn't transfer. Are there any limitations to transferring accounts if you buy a different phone? I advised her to email SqEX.

I thought the collective minds here would be able to offer some advice.

That's more than strange. It worked for me from Samsung to iPhone, so I really don't know why it won't work for her. :/
