A dwarf is a midget, well to be sure I'm small but you could call me a midget because ever since year 3 I've been the smallest in my class ever since. Also for Circus school its only on Saturdays and from my point of view it's a good way of making friends and just something interesting to do on weekends.

Well the preferred term is dwarf since most consider it an insult.
"Dwarfism" on the other hand is a birth defect which keeps the persons body into more like baby proportions: small arms, relatively small legs, large head etc.
They can be midgets as well, but the general term for a short person not with the dwarf infliction is midget.
Just don't call dwarfs, no, just don't call anyone of a small height that.
