the magic bar turns pink and recharges when you run out of magic. cure takes up the rest of your magic bar, but it heals your entire party.

Yes, if I remember correctly it works like this:

Blue- Full
Purple- Medium
Pink- Empty/Low

Or, that's about how I think it is.

I think cure totally depletes your MP, or it depletes it greatly. However, I think they still have the little bubbles that charge your magic.

yeah you still do have MP balls. and the bar also turns pink if you use a co-op move. but i actually like it so it fills without always having to use a item or look for balls. especially since cure takes away all your mp, it would just fill up again.
