In the beginning of the game when you were at Destiny Islands, Tidus and the other Final Fantasy characters asked questions like,

"What is the most important thing to you?"

and other questions, how did those answers ,that you gave, affect the outcome of the game?

I think the best (experience oriented) answers were, "Being number one", "getting old", and "see rare sights".

Ya, like said, top answers levels you up quickly in the middle of the game, but slower at the end.

Middle answers levels you up at a normal rate through out the whole game

Bottom answers levels up slow at the beginning, fast near the end.

Actually, they control how fast you level up, when you learn your abilities, and how much damage Sora can take. For example, let's say you answer friendship, being indecisive, and to broarden your horizons, then that means you chose a hero's path and Sora will take more hits for less damage, whereas if you chose something that makes you sound selfish, you take maore damage. It's not really big though. It only gives youthe ability to take a couple more or less hits, but it still works. Don't believe me? Then start 2 games and choose a heroic path and a selfish path and record some of the more intense battles and watch and compare, you'll see the difference but you have to watch closely.
