KINGDOM HEARTS 3 had a huge presence last month at E3 2018, showing off 4 trailers in less than a week and giving attendees the opportunity to play a demo of the game. Naturally, it won numerous awards and nominations from the press.

Particularly noteworthy is its win in the Best RPG category in the the Game Critics Awards. The Game Critics Awards, organized by Geoff Keighley, have presented "Best of E3" Awards for the past 20 years. Judging is performed by the Game Critics, an independent group of 50 media and influencer outlets covering the videogame industry, made up of representatives from around the world. Games that are eligible for a nomination must be demonstrated in a hands-on playable form at the expo.

See below for the full list of awards and nominations! In total, Kingdom Hearts 3 won 16 awards out of 29 nominations.

I'm kind of surprised and impressed it won all of these awards. I know it was anticipated but KH was always so niche. Guess that could change soon.

Congrats on Kingdom Hearts III getting 16 wins from E3. Now I would buy a ticket if KH3 was one of the nominations for next year's Videogame awards, of course, that's just wishful thinking.

For Best RPG, I don't even recall any other RPG at E3 worthy to compete against KH3. Best I can recall is Octopath Traveler. I guess Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee could compete, but it's just not at the same level as KH3.

You're right on the money, actually. These were the nominees for Best RPG:

Divinity: Original Sin II (Larian Studios/Bandai Namco for PS4, Xbox One)
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (Square Enix for PC, PS4, Switch)
Kingdom Hearts III (Square Enix for PS4, Xbox One)
Octopath Traveler (Square Enix/Acquire/Nintendo for Switch)
Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! (Game Freak/Nintendo for Switch)

It was honestly... no contest 8D

It's as if KH3 already earned the award before it was given xD
