When i summoned the cloud thing and he did his choppy thing with his big pointy thing, i noticed he had a black wing thing that came out from under his cape thing. is that supposta be there?

Yes it is. It's also in Kingdom Hearts. It's a symbol of Cloud trying to exploit the darkness but when he did it backfired.

It also have a symbolic meaning because Sephiroth has a one wing also on the oposite side of Cloud's
