The board itself has been going through a lot of changes as of late, and many of these changes also directly effect the chat. These rules are the new updated ones, so even if a veteran - read through these atleast once, to get an idea of what now is and is not acceptable. Many of the rules are the same as they have always been, but some, obviously, are not.

1. Harassment will not be tolerated. It often overexceeds and/or causes umcomfortable situations with members and it will now cease to happen. Punishment depends on the manner of the offense *harrasment* and the mod's discretion.

2. Minor swear words ARE allowed in passing discussion. For example, "Ah sh*t man, that really sucks." You will not take advantage of this, however, and you will certainly not use it in a derogatory or flaming manner. Doing such will involve A) a warning followed by a ban, or B) a straight out ban. This comes down to the moderatorss personal views on the matter.

3. Flooding or spamming of the chat will not be tolerated. It gets on other chat users' nerves and can cause some serious lag.

4. There will be NO advertising via the chat. You are allowed to post links in your forum signature spaces, don't bombard the chat with it. This means not on main screen nor via PM.

5. There will be no painstakingly obvious sexual discussion. This meaning if the moderator recognizes it as what it is, and asks you to stop, you will stop. You will not argue back nor be allowed to plee your case in such a situation. We aren't idiots, we know fine well what is hinting or plain outright discussion.

6. Leniancy in bypassing a gag is now gone. Doing so will result in a {1-3} day ban. It is the moderators decision how long the ban will last for.

7. A moderators decision is final. All actions will not be the same for every moderator. If you are banned, you are banned. You will not make another account used to sneak-in, cuss out the moderator who applied the punishment or cause a ruckus. This is worthy of a FORUM ban, not just a chat ban. I suggest when banned you come to this page, and try to figure out for yourself why exactly you were so.

8. If you are trully certain you have been punished unfairly, then you have one of two options. You can:
A) PM the moderator in question, and discuss with them the reason behind the punishment. Any PMs with flaming will only extend your punishment and cause the PM to be ignored.
B) You can PM myself and I will look into the situation for you. If treated unfairly, you will have my apologies and be 'un-punished'. If it turns out the moderators action was just, you will have to sit your punishment out.

9. Making rooms is not tolerated and will result in an automatic 10 hour ban on the spot. If it continues you will gain yourself an IP ban.

10. You will not pretend to be a moderator yourself. This can set many members into a panic, and will only result in many of the moderators being sent PMs, asking if you do actually have power. Doing so will result in a lengthy gagging or a few day ban, yet again down to discretion of the moderator. You will also not yell "BAN! BAN!" when you think a member has done something wrong. It is the moderators choice on how to handle a situation, not yours.

11. The overuse of capital letters in the chatroom may now very well result in a gag OR a ban.
