Yes this was a charity auction. They've been bidding off this stuff for months. I think this is the second time they've bidded the sketch since I swear it was sold. I guess the bidder didn't buy it.

I'm still shocked that this sold for higher than the original Sora maquette <_< I like art, don't get me wrong, but in my eye's a 3D figure, 2D art just cannot compete (clearly I'm in the minority, which is great! Means I don't have to spend as much).

I would absolutely die for that Sora maquette still...and if it ever goes back on sale, I'm going nuts.

That is a heap load of money. It's good that it's going to charity, though; if I were the one who won that sketch, my satisfaction would double... from the fact that I got my hands on it, and that the money will be used to help other people.

Then again, a few people out there wouldn't probably care about the charity part and thought only about the sketch. :p

Oh well, I'm glad that just having the digital copy of it already satisfies me. Prints will fail the tests of time, but data is forever. :p

That's just me. Everybody else is free to agree or disagree and I'm not going to enforce my opinion on anyone.

Perhaps they had another, but more likely the person who bought it last time just never paid so they still want to auction it to send the money to charity :) I wish the figure went back on sale :(

After how much it sold for last time I wouldn't be surprised.

I must admit that, if the opportunity arises, I would buy a couple of Nomura-san's sketches, seeing as how he is a very talented artist. But I would only pay a maximum of 20 bucks, no more.

lol Wouldn't we all like to buy Nomura art for $20 :p I sure would...heck, I'd go upwards of $100 even (maybe...I'd rather save my money for that figure)
