I'm so glad this was confirmed as the opening to KHIII! It just means that we have to be getting back stories to Eraqus and Xehanort at least!
That ending of the trailer is too cryptic to really be deciphered. All we can do is guess and theorize about the ending it's not like they actually gave us anything we can use to figure out what KH 3 is going to be about... For all we know the trailer could have little to do with the story.
But its going to be the opening of KH3, thats all the info we really need. Its important and wont be little.
I didn't know that scene was confirmed as the opening of KH3. Interesting. Perhaps there will be a tutorial level where we can play as a young Eraqus/Xehanort?
Lol, it was confirmed to be the opening scene to KH3 by Tai Yasue himself. Of course it won't be a sketch and actual in-game graphics, but that scene is our starting point.
Of course they gave us exactly what we need to figure out what Kingdom Hearts 3 is about. This prophecy has most likely guided Xehanort's actions for all of his adult life, and it sets up the climax of the game for us. Will the Light actually fail and Darkness claim the universe?
It is possible, or it could just play out with how KH3D's opening was and just show that bit and then leave us hanging for awhile.

You have a point there. That sounds more likely. Make us wait until the end of the game to find out what happens in the first scene. :tongue:
That actually something I thought of as well. You know how we had 6 days(or was it 7? anyway, you'll get the point) with Roxas in KH2? Maybe we will begin with 6 days in KH3 starting from when Xehanort is on the island, then it ends on the 6th day with MX in his 20's talking about the lost masters. Then it starts KH3.
So instead of 6 straight days we get 6 separate days spanning years? That's an interesting idea and would allow us to learn more about who Xehanort is and why he's doing the things he's doing.
