All four episodes of Kingdom Hearts Mysteries, our collaborative series with GameTrailers.com, have now aired and you can watch all of them right here below.
Back in 2013, GameTrailers released an hour long video called Kingdom Hearts Timeline, which some of KHInsider staff helped out with. Although it managed to successfully summarize the entire series plot, some of us felt there was still more to tell.
Thus, we decided to work closely together in order to create a number of episodes which delved into the more complicated aspects of the series thus far, in preparation for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3.
In these episodes, we focus on time travel, Sora's connection to people such as Ventus, Roxas, Naminé & Xion, Xehanort's plans during the entire series and what you need to know from Kingdom Hearts χ [chi].
Episode 1 - Time Travel in Kingdom Hearts
Episode 2 - Sora's Connections to Others
Episode 3 - Xehanort's Ambitions
Episode 4 - The Foretellers' Prophecy
Naturally, these episodes will not make too much sense unless you've played the majority of the games in the series. Regardless, we hope they come to help as many out as possible so the conclusion in the Dark Seeker saga can be enjoyed by everyone.
Although there are currently no concrete plans for more episodes, we will nevertheless actively look into making more in the near future.

Hoo, very userfriendly to put all of them on in same place. :D Like so many others here have said, congratulations on a job well done! These videos should aid anyone with difficulties relating to KH story. I would very much like to see more Episodes from Kingdom Hearts Mysteries, all thou are there any mysteries left in the series? (Nomura pls, who talked with Xemans in the champer??)

I posted a thread on that theory a few months ago. So glad someone was thinking the same thing! I can't really think of anyone else that would be "talking back" in the Chamber of Repose other than YX unless it was Ansem SOD prior to KH1.

It came to me when writing the script for episode 1, the time travel episode. I mean, it's really the only thing that makes sense. Who else would converse with a version of Xehanort other than Xehanort himself? xD
Of course, during that time, Nomura probably wasn't thinking of DDD, so I wonder what he was actually planning when he created that scene.
If I remember correctly, another theory stated that Aqua`s armor could have produced a Lingering Will similar to Terra, but the Young Xehanort theory seems more likely. I will take any answer by this point so the mystery would finally be solved, but I would also like to see what Nomura originally had in mind.
This really helped allot understanding allot of things I somehow missed. Cannot wait for KH3.
Welp, this is convenient. Everything is all in one place. Gonna have to have another marathon on this again when I find more time.
I loved the original Timeline video and these videos are just as amazing.

I think it's one of the more fascinating mysteries in the series. Of course, you can't rule out other possibilities like Aqua's armor manifesting a personality or something like that like you said (maybe this aspect was part of the cancelled BBS v2!)
Hopefully, KH3 will answer this!
[FONT=arial]ok so i looked up the definition of "recusant", as in "recusant's sigil" referring to the X symbol xehanort uses to track people and i got:
"an English Roman Catholic of the time from about 1570 to 1791 who refused to attend services of the Church of England and thereby committed a statutory offense"
and
"one who refuses to accept or obey established authority"
which leads me to believe the sixth apprentice who left the other five was or became known as the Recusant, who eventually passed his keyblade to Xehanort, which leads me to further believe we'll be collecting the Recusant Reports in Kingdom Hearts 3.[/FONT]
