Yeah, if the game was original coming out on December 16th, and they delayed it to the 24th (for us, anyway) then that's a really short delay. Nothing bad at all. Pretty much every AAA game gets delayed these days. Guarantee you KH3 is gonna get delayed regardless of whatever release date they give it.

The delay is one thing, but they also broke the worldwide release too? Lame. But whatever. Not the end of the world. The game is coming, it looks amazing, the box art is killer, and I am a happy boy. Goodnight, world.

Anyone else notice the lucky charms of Ven and Terra circle around the Room Where Nothing Gathers (Room with all the Organization seats) once they start to trail with smoke? Right before showing Terranort and Venitas? I guess another 2 members of the true organisation confirmed?

Seems like they've been doing good work on the lighting department, that scene with Aqua in front of the mirror is absolutely gorgeous. Finally, something nice to say about that.

I don't like the Hikari remix all that much. Gets way too busy when the original vocals come in.

The mirror says "Only your Heart is hollow enough to be a demons". Basically saying that Aqua is a demon (like a really bad person), or she is possessed by a demon (a Heartless most likely). But I don't think this serie does stuff with Heartless possessing humans, so it's probably metaphorical, meaning she is a bad person. Atleast, that's what I heared.

After a few listens I started hearing "OK Ven" as well, it certainly lends to a different read of that scene.
Pretty sure it's just, "OK then," with the assumption that they merely substituted the original Japanese line with filler to match timing. Unfortunately it doesn't work very well out of context (or I guess within the context of the trailer and how it was edited). "Kore wa...?!" at least gives you the sense that what Aqua is seeing is meant to be alarming and worth wondering about.

Man, I love the potential symbolism at the beginning of the trailer. In the first KH opening, a wave in the ocean swallowed Riku which foreshadowing his future struggles with it. Sora tried to reach to him. Now, with the 0.2 opening, Aqua seems to be at the bottom of the ocean(or at least under huge amounts of water), indicating that she is now trapped at the Realm of Darkness. Then little Sora looks down and reaches into the water as the sun is shining bright in the sky, and a pillar of light shines down to Aqua, probably connecting to the fact that Sora is said to save them all.

Let's also think about the fact that the CGI sequence we are seeing is most likely the opening, and just like most KH games it involves a "Dive to the Heart", so why is Aqua heading towards Sora's stained glass? :)

So the western release date is apparently 12 days later than the Japanese one... 12 days of avoiding spoilers is going to be tough if that's true.

Aah, so it indeed was Sora´s Heart Station Aqua was heading to. Interesting.
Also, I love the fact that after the light touches her Wayfinder, she holds it tight to her chest and then falls pretty peacefully. I think there was no fear or anything like that on her face, but instead Aqua was pretty calm.


It`s pretty much the opposite when Sora falls down in the KH1 opening, where desperately tries to grab something and has a shocked expression on his face, since he is heading towards the unknown.

Also holy shit, that grass looks so real. That scene was beautiful. Graphics, Terra and Ventus, to Venitas and Terranort. Easily my favorite part of this trailer.
1:10, Ventus sleeping in a glass case *theory that Ventus wandered into the RoS while sleeping intensifies*. It reminds me of the case Snow White was sleeping in.
That mirror, is it the same mirror from Dwarf Woodlands? It seems to be the same type of "Dimension". Guess the Evil Queen threw some more potions at it.
1:41, woah, this that looks beatiful. But wich world is that? It has pillars, so it made me think of Olympus Coliseum, but that one didn't fall into Darkness. We already have Castle of Dreams, and maybe Dwarf Woodlands, what if this is the Enchanted Dominion? And those pillars could be from the castle. Also explains why Malificent was so happy to see the castle in the the Chi Secret episode, and also explains why she moved to Radiant Garden. Her world got swallowed by Darkness and even she couldn't reach it. But that's just a thought. Did they ever explain why she moved to Radiant Garden though?
1:52, hey look, treasure chests! But this game is only 1 world long. I wonder if we can transfer our loot to DDD.
Hmm... it looks like Mickey is wearing his CoM gear, guess this means he met Aqua after he obtained the Kingdom D Keyblade. Also explains why he was not with Riku from the start in CO. I wonder why she didn't go with Mickey. She could reunite with Ventus after all. Kick everyone out of her castle and restore the LoD and then start properly training Sora and Riku. Damn, what I would give to see that happening.
2:24, looks like the Darksides learned a new trick. What I like most about that scene though, is that Aqua faces them with total confidence and hope. Knowing she will survive it.

Also 0:35, nice to see the "Players" fighting a Raidboss. It's nice to see Back Cover will not entirely focus on the Foretellers, but also give some screen time to the "Players".
Also, that chair Luxu stands before at 0:35, are those the symbols of Daybreak Town? Like the LoD symbol.
And Chirithy is sooo cute! And he is still in his test tube, hopefully this means we will see how Chirithies are made.
0:37, Invi without a mask or scarf covering her mouth. She looks normal. So I guess this means it was for cosmetic purposes all along.
1:25, hmm... if they really want to make an X-Blade, he is either luring him in, or he doesn't know he needs 7 Lights. What if the main goal never was the X-Blade, but it just got created by accident during the clash?
1:31, an alliance huh? Aced, Ava and... Invi or Ira. I think Ira. But why would alliances be forbidden? They share the same goal, so wouldn't it be better if they worked together to reach that goal? Who makes these rules?
Also, MoM with the original Book of Prophecies. If he and it are still in Daybreak Town, maybe that's how Gula found the Lost Page.
2:10, d'awwww Luxu is actually concered about his friends. He sounds alot different in the fight with Ava (looking at his text). So maybe this is a flash back during Back Cover? Explains why they sound so young. I mean, who knows how long the Unions have been fighting over the Light. It could have been a decade or more, they wear masks, we don't know how old they are.

But damn, this is beautiful.

I'm of the opinion that the conversation between MoM and Luxu runs deeper than what appears on the surface. Wouldn't surprise me if MoM is preparing Luxu to get the Xehanort plan started. After all, Aced knows about 7 who can save the world. Surely Luxu knows about the 13 who can destroy it.

About the Mirror Scene I have read.

Could it not be how Aqua thinks of herself "deep down"?
She sees herself as a demon because she left her friends behind.
But she also thinks that her heart is strong enough to prevent being corrupted by darkness like Terra's was. (she thinks it was, doesnt she?)

Those were both theorized to be members of Org XIII way back by a lot of members.

Nomura isn't always the sneakiest so it's really not farfetched at all to imagine that was a significant hint.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say that the MoM's character and mannerisms sort of remind me of Xigbar/Braig. In every context it seems incredibly unlikely, but I'm just pointing out what vibes I'm getting.

Not to mention that his Japanese voice actor usually plays very serious, but relaxed and clowny characters (Gintama).

I theorised the exact same, I'm just simply pointing out that he might actually be confirming it with that scene.

Not bothered about the release date, since Amazon had it listed at December 31st anyway, so not much difference. That does, however, imply to me we won't get III in 2017. Hmm.

Anyway, glorious trailer. Good call using a new remix of Simple and Clean, really makes the game stand out as a new entity than if they'd used the older remixes. Cool shot of the Darksides at the end and damn that Mickey scene had me emotional.

I am so happy that they fixed the plastic skin situation. I have no complaints now. As I thought, it was only an issue of lighting and now it just looks fantastic. It looks like they put a bit more color on her cheeks too. Beautiful. Box art is great too. Can't wait until January~

I hope we'll get the full version of the new Hikari remix at some point! At least right after the game releases. Nothing beats the original but I like this one a bit more than the previous one that was in BBS opening for example.

Fantastic trailer. But I was never fooled. Knew it wouldn't release this year. Not a huge deal though in terms of this game but I've been leaning towards KH3 coming in 2018 for months now.

I'm a little disappointed with the release date itself, as my selfish self wanted to play the game over Christmas break so badly. The trailer was absolutely outstanding though, and gave me way more than I hoped for. It was gorgeous and really well put together. I truly feel more excited for the game each time they show us more.

Agreed, Grizzly. Christmas break was going to be the only decent amount of free time I had to play. Stupid grad school...

But everything looks amazing!!!! Sora, Riku and Kairi were so cute and it was nice seeing them all together as kids again (even if it was mostly obscured by lens flare)! I was originally going to play DDD first when it came out and revel in my favorite handheld KH game being on console, but now I'm considering playing 0.2 first... 

So they are talking about the future! But why? I mean, I'm sure the Book talks about them but, why would they care?

We don't have all the details about it, but the Foretellers want to prevent the Keyblade War. Unfortunately one of them appears to be a traitor who is sabotaging this plan and thus the original Keyblade War occurs.

Now history is repeating itself. Since we know it was doomed the first time, any information given out from the 7 vs 13 prophecy would be applicable to Kingdom Hearts 3.

It could be the seven princesses of heart, or Ira could be suggesting that the 5 foretellers, Luxu, and the Master of Masters work together. Or, yes, it could be talking about the seven lights that will fight 13 darknesses.

You're not alone Grizzly. I'm sorry they had to delay it, but the game itself is looking stellar. Can't wait, tho right now Amazon hasn't updated their release date yet.

The 0.2 trailer actually got me pretty hyped for different reasons. That hall where everything seems to be upside-down in one way or the other is so simple yet incredibly gorgeous. I need this game so badly.
At the same time, this makes me think even more that I'm going to play 3D first and keeping 0.2 as the icing on the cake.
I am a little disappointed though that it won't get a worldwide release on the same day. I hope that won't be the case for KH3.

But... then there is a new traitor too right? Do we consider Xehanort a traitor... or can someone else be the traitor (all the Goofy conspiracy theories have now a shot at becoming real)?

The game looks fantastic and they have definitely tweaked the hit stun, I also believe they tweaked the visuals as well because that tornado reached to the top of the screen where as before I swore it was smaller on the 3DS closer to CoM size...could just be a foggy memory though.

Hey the MoM is a jerk who doesn't have hope for the world and Luxu was actually someone concerned for his friends, is that enough to say that Luxu wasn't truly evil yet? Also oh my god they made Aced look likeable if almost sympathetic, and it sounds like Invi was behind the scenes making things worse. But you know what really matters? The choreography of these scenes, no more just standing around talking they all had such beautiful human movement. I was shocked when Aced seemlessly grabbed Gula and shook him like a rag doll.

Man I love what they are doing here. We were told Aqua's memories were being used against her and man oh man were we seeing it. When Ven appears in the glass I got chills, Aqua must feel so guilty having had to lock her friend away and yet what other choice did she have. I can't believe Aqua's least important and filler Disney world beget this series of amazing memory screws. From the Ven thing to her own mirror image dark side trying to beat her up. Also man they are doing a great job making the realm of darkness seem as everybit nightmarish and hellish that it's been hinted to be. I can't stop gushing at how incredible this all was.

Eh, rip 3G Network Users. But that means those guys are on phones. And KHI has it's own phone version. That version doesn't show signatures. Yes the phone version a little buggy, but it should solve the problem.

I would really advise against it. I linked an 8MB gif because I didn't want to cause any slowdown for users trying to get onto the forum. A 36 MB gif can really eat into data as well, especially for those on 500MB a month.

Her scene with Ava and then her solo scene itself is enough to raise suspicions. Her and Gula both came off pretty suspicious in the trailer.

The more I listen to Ava's voice, the more I'm convinced she's voiced by Christine Marie Cabanos and the way Ira's VA delivers his line after Luxu chides him on the 7 seven lights reminds me of Matthew Mercer as Trey for some reason... but I'm glad to see more of Invi, Ava and especially Kairi. The trailer is really beautiful and I hope that when the soundtrack drops for this game that it'll contain Utada's mix.

I guess I'm still not totally buying this whole traitor thing other than being a ploy by the MoM, like even for Aced who is being violent as crap, I feel they are all being misled and manipulated. If there truly is one who is THE traitor I wouldn't be surprised if it was by complete accident, but maybe not. I really don't know lol.

Either way its super easy to make characters look sketchy in trailers :P At least I think so.

Yeah, it kinda did. I usually always prefer original japanese voices for everything, but with KH it hasn't been an issue for me. After watching the japanese trailer though, and then the english one... I gotta say, the dub is really not that great. Sounded clunky and awkward somehow. I don't know if it's how it's always been and I just notice it now after listening to the original but yeah.

I'd definitely pay extra for dual audio btw, especially for KH3. Would love to play it first in english and then do a 100% run with japanese audio.

I would kind of love that. Just like how Ava seems to be the most active Foreteller in protecting the Players whereas Kairi just chills 99% of the series.

This game is looking absolutely gorgeous! I love how they seem to be tying into the "destruction of the worlds" plot in KH1 with all the Darksides creating that huge fireball(?) & Mickey visiting Aqua in the Realm of Darkness. That Opening Cinematic surprised me considering the team is going for that cartoon-looking aesthetic. I'd think that the more realistic approach of the cinematic would detract from that, but it works very well!

Btw, I wasn't the only one who thought that the music was the new theme music for Kingdom Hearts III when I first heard it right? When Simple and Clean's lyrics began playing I'm like "Ok, this isn't what I expected, but it's still amazing!" At the very least it seems that with this dedicated remix for 2.8 Utada's finally back into making music for the series on a semi-confirmed basis right? The percentage of likeliness that she'll do the music has to have jumped up some.

I am ridiculously excited and hyped up for this a lot more than I thought I would be. Aqua. <3 I can't get over how awesome and put together all of this looks. Looks like I'll be saving money for a PS4 now until the game releases. And the cover art for the box of 2.8 is fantastic. <3 I wanna play as Aqua so much right now. Especially with that Terra and Ventus scene. Holy crap. What is that all about? Mm, the new tunes with Utada were pretty nice too.

Oh man, these few clips of the opening were so good. I am pretty excited about seeing the whole thing. Since most of the opening have been around 2 mins long, there will probably be all kinds of interesting stuff. And the remix of Simple of Clean is freaking amazing, can`t wait!

I am liking that the realm of darkness is really going to mess with Aqua´s head. Not only is it probably depressing to see the past words she visited being corrupted by the darkness, but the illusions of Ven and Terra will probably affect her the most. That conversation with the mirror!Aqua probably won`t a nice one either. Also the hordes of Darksides are probably pretty terrifying. I have never thought about it before, but back in KH1 when the Darkside reaches to the ground and tears the piece of energy, is it taking apart the world`s heart?

I also like the fact that you can cast spells so fast now. I remember using the shortcut option and thinking how slow it was, but this probably won`t be a problem anymore in 0.2 and KHIII.

Hope his Drop Gauge doesn't run out and disappears again... :'(

But in all seriousness, concerning Invi, I personally don't think anyone is the traitor. Maybe the MoM made them think there was a traitor in order to prevent them from seeing the bigger picture and doing anything to avert the War and the world's demise...?

If one assumes Rebirth, then what could be happening is.

-Each of the foretellers lives their lives a certain way
-The awful Keyblade War happens.
-They are then reborn.
-Even if they don't explicitly remember past lives, they are spiritually driven to live their lives in the opposite way due to regrets or a need to atone.

Perhaps Kairi is passive due to feeling a sense of inadequacy as Ava, i.e "my actions did nothing but bring ruin, so I better not 'help' this time because my help is worthless and will only bring trouble."

For Invi, her view on light and darkness may have eventually shifted towards balance(leading to betrayal), causing Aqua to then adhere strictly to Eraqus's harsh view on darkness.

I don't really know enough about KHX to say anything about the others.

That sounds nice. It's been theorize that the Foretellers could represent some of the sins, but there's also another theory that suggests that they're the opposite of their "assigned" sin.

I've been listening to the trailer all day. I was passively excited for this game since it was announced, but I am honestly thrilled that the way the English dialogue is written in particular has advanced so much compared to where we started.

Ray of Hope so goooooood. Seriously, these CGI cuts are amazing!

Terra and Ven's wayfinders fly toward the chairs in the Round Room.

It symbolically confirms what we've long suspected--that Terranort and Vanitas are two of the 13. Though I do wonder if this means Vanitas is appearing in his Ven form rather than his Sora form.

I'd assume Sora form, due to him appearing that way in KH3D and the fact that he's holding the X-Blade in that trailer, which he's unlikely to wield in KH3.

I'm glad we saw Mickey interact with Aqua, because that means we're finally getting an explanation for why he left her there.

Could foreshadow that rather than saving Ven from his slumber, through some twist of fate they bring back Vanitas in Ven's body. Saving Ven would be too easy if it was just a matter of finding Aqua, going to CO with Sora, using Sora or Riku's new power to awaken sleeping hearts, and putting Ven's heart back in his body.

It would be much more compelling if the process was interrupted by Xehanort. Aqua's worst fear realized yet again. She fails to save Ven again. Sora fails to save a friend. It could be just the thing to up the stakes.

Would also take the predictability behind the 7GoL away now that they would need to fill Ven's spot with another.

Kingdom Hearts III is Xehanort's grand finale- it wouldn't be doing his character justice if he didn't spend that time crushing your protagonists' hopes for his own gain. That would be like Kefka without even a mention of death and destruction, or Sephiroth without acting like a jealous ex-boyfriend towards Cloud. It's blasphemy.

Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Mickey, Lea seem to be our current lineup. Terra is out. Ven is now in the middle.

Roxas and Xion need to be saved first, but they seem like ideal replacements.

Waking Ven is too obvious. Xemnas was after the Chamber of Waking and Ven inside of it far too much to have KH3 suddenly drop that. Xehanort wants/needs Ven for his plans. KH3D set up Vanitas' return.

There needs to be something to put audiences on the edge of their seats. Right now all of the current conflict is centered to the end-game meeting of the Light and Darkness. Where is the early and mid game conflict? Where are the things that will make the heroes question their ability to actually save everybody and the worlds? Where are the personal stakes that push them all to the edge and renews their motivation?

These are all things that have to be created in KH3.

After wich they have to introduce a new Keyblade Wielder to take the place of Ventus. Skuld, Emphemer, Yen Sid.

I think it'd make for a nice parallel to the scene where Aqua approaches Ven-nitas saying "Ven?" and he surprises her with an attack, saying "I'm not Ventus!". I think the last thing Aqua wants is to relive any of the horrors that happened to her 10 years ago.

There's also taking into account Xemnas's search for the CoW, his efforts may have confirmed that in order to truly access it, he'll need the Master's Defender....or get its wielder to do his work for him..

Dark Margin? You mean the beach? But that's the place with the moon right? And that moon is supposed to be the "Light that shines in the deepest Darkness". So wouldn't that technically be the hardest place to reach her? Because she is in the deepest Darkness and all that.

Roxas could.), Eraqus, Terra, Data-Sora (what the heck, you put Young Eraqus in there, why not Data-Sora too), Master Ira, Master Invi, Master Aced, Master Gula and Master Ava (if Ephemer and Skuld can be eligable as back up, why not these 5 too?). It would be in his best interest if they could only save 1. More then that would just be

He needs Terra for himself, so he is not eligible anymore.

If Aqua can awaken him, he only gets 1 Keyblade Wielder (they call TAV Masters, but was that just a translation error like they called Sora Keyblade Master, or did they officialy become Masters?) making it perfect for his plan. This is all speculation, but it doesn't give him much merit if he prevents Ventus from being awakend. Sure he can try to go for Vanitas, but he can use Time Travel for that.

The Dark Margin rests on the edge of the Realm of Light. For example Riku and Sora sat on the edge of one side of the Realm of Darkness at the edge of RoL and were able to call a Door to Light to lead them home.

Aqua sits on the opposite end of it of the Realm of Darkness, which is still at the opposite border of the Realm of Darkness and Light.

If Sora and Riku, after reading Kairi's letter, could make a Door to Light, Aqua after hearing Sora is doing his best to save the worlds should also have some sort of super magical heart-powered phenomenon. Kairi and Riku have a connection to Aqua in their own way and Mickey is her friend. Finding her is not a difficult task with her essentially sitting on the edge of the Light.

Not all of the SoDs will be brought back by time travel. The foreshadowing of Vanitas in KH3D was specifically related to Sora's heart housing Ven's (like a "prison") which is where Vanitas resides.

Did you miss when old man Xehanort, really close to his own death, could summon massive whirlwinds of Keyblades while using massive blasts of blizzard, fire, and thunder and darkness without breaking a sweat? Imagine him at his prime.

Well Riku and Mickey certainly won't be training them because they are tasked to find other Keyblade wielders. Sora, Donald, Goofy will be off looking (fruitlessly) for the Key to Return Hearts (which probably isn't a key or thing at all but a power). Yen Sid seems pretty much retired for the most part since he left Lea's Keyblade summoning training to Merlin and the Fairies.

Why would it mean less time for plot? They have staff who are tasked to focus on mini-games and extra content. Mini-games and side worlds aren't usually counted in the total run-time and are almost always lower on the priority list when developing features in the game.

Young Eraqus is just an example. Anything can happen in KH3.

Terranort would have been who returned once Ansem: SoD and Xemnas reformed into their original self. Instead Master Xehanort was brought back. This has led to the question of "Where is Terra?"

Nomura has implied in multiple interviews that the state of Terra is specifically meant to be a mystery. Here is an example of one:

Taking Ven's body to give Vanitas a body wouldn't be preventing them from gathering the 7 Guardians. This is a fated event. 7 Guardians will make themselves apparent at the appointed time no matter what. Doesn't matter who it is.

So yeah, he will probably just mess up the rest. Not Ventus though.

What will he mess up? What will raise the stakes? The one thing Nomura hates is being obvious. There is just no way saving Ven will be straightforward and simple.

Not really a convincing argument as Ventus and Terra certainly have as much if not more bones to pick with since they're suffering far longer than those two.

So far his story has been nothing but a trauma-line with several comas, two times having his heart nearly destroyed and always being pushed around to suffer, so would doing just more of the same by having him again incapacitated and his body stolen really bring anything new or in any form help his character?

i know they have more bones to pick then roxas and xion but who said they be bought back easily and vantias hasnt taken over ventus body already plus having aqua face ventuas and terranort in the final battle to save them for good plus if ven and terra on the dark side you would need people to replace and xion and roxas would be good relacment and be unepxcted

Well that trailer was truly something. The graphics look astounding. I'm bummed that they've moved the release date back, especially since I had booked holiday time over Christmas. Going to have to change dates now so I can at least get some quality KH playing time. Let's hope nothing else changes!

The Dark Margin rests on the edge of the Realm of Light. For example Riku and Sora sat on the edge of one side of the Realm of Darkness at the edge of RoL and were able to call a Door to Light to lead them home. Aqua sits on the opposite end of it of the Realm of Darkness, which is still at the opposite border of the Realm of Darkness and Light. If Sora and Riku, after reading Kairi's letter, could make a Door to Light, Aqua after hearing Sora is doing his best to save the worlds should also have some sort of super magical heart-powered phenomenon. Kairi and Riku have a connection to Aqua in their own way and Mickey is her friend. Finding her is not a difficult task with her essentially sitting on the edge of the Light.

Not all of the SoDs will be brought back by time travel. The foreshadowing of Vanitas in KH3D was specifically related to Sora's heart housing Ven's (like a "prison") which is where Vanitas resides.

Did you miss when old man Xehanort, really close to his own death, could summon massive whirlwinds of Keyblades while using massive blasts of blizzard, fire, and thunder and darkness without breaking a sweat? Imagine him at his prime.

I didn't. But I kinda assume that that was his most powerfull version. It's old man Xehanort that has the highest seat in the new Organization. And you could say that he wants to save that version as a hidden ace, but when Mickey and Riku came to rescue Sora and Mickey used Stopza, he used his Young Xehanort version. And he failed to secure Sora. Wouldn't it make more sense if he used his most powerfull (or more powerfull) version if he really wanted to have Sora as a vessel.

He doesn't need to do an all out attack. He only needs one of his SoDs to trail after them when they go to the Chamber of Waking.

I know, but then it would be 1 vs Aqua and Riku/Sora, possibly Mickey or Donald and Goofy. Maybe even all 6 of them. I'm assuming he wants Ventus his body, what else would he need the Chamber of Waking for.

Well Riku and Mickey certainly won't be training them because they are tasked to find other Keyblade wielders. Sora, Donald, Goofy will be off looking (fruitlessly) for the Key to Return Hearts (which probably isn't a key or thing at all but a power). Yen Sid seems pretty much retired for the most part since he left Lea's Keyblade summoning training to Merlin and the Fairies.

I know. But I still wanna see Lea and Kairi train. It would be so interesting. Maybe they could even put some jokes in there about how impractical a Keyblade irl would be. Like how they both will get annoyed with the Keychain while they swing around that Keyblade.

Why wouldn't it take up much time? It can get pretty long. Finding a body for Eraqus, him and Terra making up. Strategizing against Xehanort. Reclaiming his Keyblade and restoring the LoD. And before all that they first have to find Terra his Heart. I even think Eraqus will have an important role in freeing Terra's Heart from Xehanorts control.

Why would it mean less time for plot? They have staff who are tasked to focus on mini-games and extra content. Mini-games and side worlds aren't usually counted in the total run-time and are almost always lower on the priority list when developing features in the game.

Yes, that's only logical, but they could use that staff to work on the main plot. Allowing them to put more main story in KH3.

That's true, but I don't think they will defeat her in Ux. If anything, I think Ux will prepare everything for her grand scheme in KH3.

Young Eraqus is just an example. Anything can happen in KH3.

Nomura has implied in multiple interviews that the state of Terra is specifically meant to be a mystery. Here is an example of one: Mysteries of Kingdom Hearts - News - Kingdom Hearts Insider KH3D also pushes this mystery a bit by making Ansem: SoD and the Guardian's behavior toward Riku during their battle less antagonistic.

That... actually kinda ruins the whole thing. I've never been a fan of the whole "It's destiny, you don't have a choice' kind of stuff. So, this means we can't rule out a Deus Ex Machina where thunder strikes, a portal opens and Young Eraqus and Young Yen Sid step out to fight?

What will he mess up? What will raise the stakes? The one thing Nomura hates is being obvious. There is just no way saving Ven will be straightforward and simple.

I dunno man, how about messing up the other Wielders they are trying to save. Xion, Roxas, Terra, Eraqus. Hell, maybe even the "Daybreak Trio" (man, the Chi and Ux section really need to step up their naming game) and Foretellers.
Maybe even try to destroy the Datascape or the data that Ansem left inside Sora. That would raise the stakes.

The trailer was truly amazing. I am so excited for 0.2 and Back Cover. I'm really excited to see what other world fragments Aqua may visit. It's clear we'll see Dwarf Woodlands and Castle of Dreams, I'm hoping for Enchanted Dominion. I'm REALLY pumped to see the Magic Mirror/Aqua scene in its entirety. 0.2 seems like a really character-driven story for Aqua. Cannot wait for this game to come out!

Because when it was MoM and Luxu, it sounded more like Lea than Young Eraqus to me.

I mean to say that Luxu from when MoM was still around, sounds like Lea but the one from before the Keyblade War with the Unicornis Master (forgot his name) sounds very different.

I literally put it together in 2 seconds, it's far from perfect but you get to hear both voices together and right after each other and compare them.

I didn't want an entirely new thread for this thought, but I am very interested in how magic is working so far in 0.2 and I hope it carries over to Kingdom Hearts 3.

It looks to me like using spells quickly in succession can activate various things. You can activate a command style like Spell Weaver, but the recent trailer showed that Aqua could use the ability 'blizzagagun', which is 2 tiers higher than '-ga' right? (because -za is inbetween?)

The reason why I liked the Birth by Sleep deck system is because I liked all the magic and ability combinations that aren't just combos or basic elemental spells. If the system in 0.2 (and KH3) works in a way where using a combo of spells allows you to activate special other spells, then I will be so happy. (not all too different from using different combos to activate command styles, expect option and not just command styles)

And I thought I was the only one thinking Luxu sounded like Eraqus. :X

I don't like the idea either, but unfortunately it does have a decent backing.

I know Sora is the main character, but the idea of him being the "only" one who can break some cycle of fate spits on the friendship theme. If one wanted to express that theme, then cooperation would be the key to defeating darkness.

I find it funny that Aced asks Ava to form an alliance with him while still holding his keyblade and while Gula is knocked out on the floor in front of him. Aced isn't smart.

But we don't see him holding his Keyblade. That scene and the scene where he and Gula fought is probably another scene.

Its the same room where he knocked out Gula, I think its the scene right after Ava saw Gula fall over.

I don't know how to put images in posts yet, but watch the E3 2016 and TGS 2016 trailer again. The lamps on the wall are the same and the lighting is simular.

Edit: I rewatched the trailer and Aced doesn't have his keyblade out in that scene. However Ava did see Aced with his keyblade in the scene when she saw Gula collapse.

How are you so sure? We barerly see the room. And even if it's the same room, you can do more then just knock someone out or talk to someone per room.

I was confused about Ava's response in the TGS trailer but then again Aced doesn't seem to think things through and its possible that his mental state isn't stable (comparing how he acts in the trailers and how he acts in the KHX finale, I think its likely).
