the title and cover is a little misleading at first, but once you get through it, it turns out to be really great manga. i can definitely see the batman inspiration in it

Finally! Someone else who reads this series! It's a shame because this is a really well done title.

That cover.. huh. It seems somewhat western inspired, but I just can't definitively say there's not some manga-ish qualities to it. The cover is far from misleading to me, I'll check dat anime whenever it's out.

Maybe something to further entice you all into either reading or watching it when it eventually appears, the mangaka designed the heroes in Tiger & Bunny and I'm pretty sure, does he do the T&B manga too?

Very happy regardless though.

Yeah, Katsura did a one-shot for T&B. Although, it felt more like a cash-in than anything else. I mean, it's not bad, but aside from a few of the panels, the art seemed really generic for him. It was like they wanted him to carry over the anime's look over to a manga as accurately as possible, so he probably couldn't add as much of his flair as he might have liked.

Oh damn I haven't read this manga in so looonng. It really is one of the top tier seinin manga out there. And before it I never had much respect for Katsura, who mainly just drew soft core porn of under aged girls. But Zetman's genuinely good, the art is amazing, the story's pretty boss (where I left off, at least), and the characters are all so well fleshed out.

I'm kinda surprised it's only just now getting an anime adaptation.

God dammit.

I never got a chance to see it, so I didn't know what he'd done, only heard rumours. Real shame.

Oh and Alphasz is totally Sky High's seinen brother.

I wish I had known there was a thread for this manga. I would have been in here so long ago. Yeah, I'm super excited about it finally getting an adaptation. I guess they wanted to wait until it had a good long run so that they didn't catch up to the manga and end it shortly like so many other adaptations of great manga.

Reading this now.

The fact that this is the same guy who wrote and drew DNA^2/I's is quite surprising, because even though i'm only on the 17th chapter it seems clear to me that this is far above the softcore porn stories I know him for. The art is really good, the writing is solid (so far), and it seems like it holds a lot of promise.

also katsura is a huge batman fan just fyi: http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/images/hm0003/047.jpg

I find it quite odd that many great manga artists (Kouta Hirano, as a great example) started out drawing hentai. I plan on starting this manga soon, given that the anime is coming out sometime in April. I have no idea why I'm excited for an anime that I know nothing about.

i think masamune shirow was also a hentai artist before ghost in the shell

either way it's just nice to see katsura was actually capable of more

TV????ZETMAN??????

The anime's website has been redesigned. No PVs yet, but it's got a lot more general stuff in it now.

I like the promo art, but the designs in the character section seem a bit sterilized (I think that's the right word) for the sake of the animation, which isn't surprising (only a select few studios could even hope to animate this series while largely retaining the style of the manga, imo).

Fantastic. I'll be getting round to watching that later.

Very pumped for this adaptation, heres hoping they manage to keep as close to the manga as possible...

The actual opening is different (the manga started at the end then jumped back to the beginning, whereas the anime started with an explanation of the Players before jumping to the beginning), but otherwise is really close. I've got high hopes for this series.
