For me i would say Super Mario World. I just dug out my good old SNES and plan on playing good classics like Mario and Zelda.

Man, so many good ones to choose from.

To be honest, I never was the biggest fan of ALTTP. Link's Awakening was more involved in my childhood.

My top 5:
1: Super Metroid
2. Super Mario World
3. Donkey Kong Country
4. Super Mario Bros. 3
5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time

Super Metroid has amazing puzzles, interesting backstory, great game play (good variety of power ups), and always kept me curious about the Metroid universe.

Pretty much the only ones I even had as a kid were Mario World, Home Alone 2, Power Rangers and Super Wrestlemania. I guess Mario wins by default.

Easily Chrono Trigger ! Just every surprising plot-twist and turn in the story leaves you on edge, and the soundtrack is damn good.

Secret of Mana! I'll forever love this game, it's so good and so much fun and I just can't wait for the remake.
Honorable mentions include Yoshi's Island, Zelda: ALTTP and Donkey Kong Country. There's some others I liked playing but mostly really rarely (like F-Zero).

Chrono Trigger or LoZ:ALTTP. Chrono Trigger has awesome artwork, and I love the team attacks and story. Plus, Chrono Trigger is a timeless classic. LoZ:ALTTP was probably my first LoZ game and one of my first SNES game. I sunk a lot of hours into it, and it really got me hooked into the series as a whole.

I want to say Final Fantasy IV, but as much as I love that game I'd never go for the SNES version. I also feel like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI are both better on DS and GBA respectively.

So I'm going for the best game that's still a SNES exclusive:

If we count games only experienced through fan translations, I'd like to also mention Seiken Densetsu 3 and Bahamut Lagoon.
