It was announced earlier this week that Yoko Shimomura, composer of Kingdom Hearts, will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Game Developers Choice Awards in March.
Excerpt from the announcement:
Outside of Kingdom Hearts, Shimomura is also well known for her memorable compositions from Super Mario RPG, the Mario and Luigi series, and Final Fantasy XV.
The award ceremony will take place on March 20th at 6:30pm PT with a live broadcast on GDC Twitch.
