So, where exactly was MX's consiousness when he split into Ansem and Xemnas? The KH1 reports indicate that he carried on to Ansem but during Ansem's defeat in KH3, Ansem seems to distinguish himself from Xehanort.

Also, despite being seen together, Ansem and Xemnas never interact with each other. They even complete each other's sentences as if they are one person, on consciousness. Yet in KH1 reports, Ansem had no awareness of Xemnas at all, he merely assumed his creation.
