New powers.
New mutants.
New troubles.

Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, the worldwide headquarters of the X-Corporation, is also known as the X-Mansion. It is the base of operations and training site of the X-Men and the location of a school for mutant teenagers. In the present day, mutants have been kept secret from the rest of the world, but not for much longer. The truth is close to being exposed and there is little that Professor Charles Xavier can do from stopping this. The new generation of mutants will decide the fate of the world in the upcoming years. Heroes and villains will rise, deciding their actions on the morality that they follow - good or evil ...

What does it all mean? Every story has a beginning. Those wishing to rule the world - they are the Brotherhood. Ruthless and unpredictable, they will not stop at anything to get what they want. But there are those that fight so hard for Professor Xavier's vision of humans and mutants living together in harmony. They are the X-Men. Although the fight for that vision has been ongoing for many years, there is still a piece of the puzzle that must be slotted into place: the new generation. The new generation will influence everything. The new generation possess the cards of fate. The new generation's story begins now.

Rules

  • No powerplaying. Seriously, guys. I mean it. I'm fed up of creating and/or participating in Roleplays, where there've been some major powerplaying going on. I don't allow it without permission from the characters involved.
  • No godmodding. I know this is X-Men, but surely ... you know the limits, right? You have to be fair to your fellow participants. So no power overloading here. No great powers like reality warping or going all Phoenix Force on everyone else. This is only to happen on major events and, again, with permission.
  • Literacy is a must. I cannot stress how much this is important. I know many of you haven't got the best literacy, but I expect people to put some effort into their posts at least. I don't want to be seeing one liners or whatnot. It's a demand here, not a request. It might sound harsh, but I expect good literacy.
  • You are allowed to have up to two characters. Having too many characters all over the place never works out. This even includes canon characters.
  • No gun machine posting. People live in different timezones, might be busy doing their job or schoolwork, etc. Give others time to post. You wouldn't like it if you came back after two days and found ten pages of posts, would you? I know I wouldn't.
  • Send your character to me in a PM. Why? Because I've had Roleplays before, where there've been crappy, effortless characters and I'd rather approve them via PM before having them posted up in my thread.
  • I accept story ideas. Yes, I'm all for them if they move the Roleplay forward. So please, shoot all your ideas in this thread.
  • Keep storyline discussion and OOC in this thread. It gets a little messed up if there's OOC in the other thread, plus it's partly against the rules to have so much of it in the actual thread itself. Please put it here, I cannot stress this enough and it would help the moderators do their job more effectively.
  • You can ask questions in this thread, even though you haven't PMed your character to me or had it approved. This is completely fine and acceptable.
  • Make your character believable and oh, no more than four active powers. But try to link your powers together, ya?
  • Lighten up and have fun! Definitely another must. This isn't something serious after all, right? A little light fun wouldn't hurt anyone. So try not to take this too seriously.

Power(s)
  • Telepathy

Telepathy is the ability to psychically communicate information from one mind to another. This can range from the traditional reading of minds to implanting thoughts into others’ minds. This could also allow the user to project telepathic illusions (illusory invisibility, illusory copies, and the like), or send thought-wave "static" into the minds of those who try to invade his mind. This ability can even be used to tap into the recesses of the mind to bring forth formerly-repressed memories or forgotten information, or the like.

  • Telekinesis

Telekinesis, also called Psychokinesis, Telergy or Psychergy is the ability for a person to psychically influence tangible matter with the intangible mind. One with this ability could mentally lift subjects that are usually far too heavy to lift with the user actual arms. One with this ability could toss, grab, lift, levitate and otherwise interface with physically tangible subjects even to the point of manipulation from a great distance and manipulation of concealed subjects that the user can't even see. There are three forms of this power:

a) Ballistic Telekinesis

Ballistic Telekinesis, colloquially known as Havoc is the more untamed version of Telekinesis. This ability causes any nearby objects to be moved around the user at high speeds, explode or to be propelled away from the user at high speeds without conscious effort from the user of the power (the ability is activated by the user feeling that he or she is in danger, or being under extreme emotional stress). One with this ability could move objects that weigh far more than he or she does.

b) Vector Telekinesis

Vector Telekinesis, like normal Telekinesis, is the ability for a person to psychically influence tangible matter with the intangible mind. However, instead of simply using psychic force to move and manipulate objects, one with this ability manifests it as a set of invisible appendages of telekinetic energy. These are capable of lifting objects with more strength and maneuvering with much more dexterity than normal Telekinesis, allowing one to do many tasks at once as though one had multiple hands. These tasks can be as tough as lifting a truck to as fine as typing on the computer or juggling.

c) Tactile Telekinesis

Tactile Telekinesis is the ability to channel the psychic energy that allows telekinesis through the hands, so as to appear as though one had superhuman strength. One with this ability has nearly all the same faculties as super strength (hitting with phenomenal force, have an amazing grip, and easily manipulate tough materials). One with this ability, however, could only lift or manipulate objects based on the level of his telekinesis, which would have to develop over time.

  • Flight

Flight is the ability to defy gravity in order to propel oneself through the air. One with this ability can accomplish it in one of multiple ways. Either their body projects an electromagnetic aura around them, which repulses the user from the ground and allows propulsion from one point to another. Others include the use of magnetic, gravitational or sonic repulsion, riding air waves, riding light waves, projection of an energy aura, the presence of physical wings and the like. This ability may be accompanied by Jet Propulsion or some other aerial faculty.

Note: Faith is unaware of this power at the moment.

  • Precognition

Precognition or Premonition is a form of extra-sensory perception in which one will perceive information about future events before they happen, by visual means, as opposed to merely guessing them, based on deductive reasoning and current knowledge. It can come as a brief flash of the scene or last for a long time. Sometimes, however, it can even be activated at will and within whichever time intervals the user desires (“the next six hours”, “tomorrow”, etc.), at which point the power becomes Selective Precognition. Faith experiences three forms of this power:

a) Dreaming

Faith can dream the past or future whilst sleeping. The dreams are entirely based on the decisions that people make and reveal the outcome. However, the dreams have been known to change loosely based on the decision itself.

b) Visions

The most common form after Dreaming. Faith can experience flashes of the past and future spontaneously, although this can be usually activated through touching a person or an object, which reveals key events tied to or the fate that awaits them.

c) Summoning

The least used form, considering how difficult it is to summon the future at will. Faith has only managed this on two occasions - once accidentally, when desiring to know the outcome of a school test and another, when trying to uncover Magneto's intentions upon the request of Professor Xavier. A high degree of concentration is usually required and can physically harm Faith if she tries too hard.

Side
X-Men

Personality
Faith is described by several people as responsible, cheerful, confident, outgoing, polite, determined, trustworthy, overprotective and emotionally driven to do what she feels is right. She always puts everyone's safety before her own. Also defined as an emotional roller coasting time bomb, she is sociable and well adapted to her environment. However, as people begin to know her, they will discover a caring side beginning to emerge that she previously fails to show at first sight. Faith can show signs of anger and aggression towards others, especially when it's about fighting for a cause she believes in, even when it's just her. Professor Xavier has uncovered potentially damaging effects to her growing telepathic abilities - a hidden dark side, which is everything opposed to what Faith is: selfish, full of anger, sick, twisted and refusing to hold back from the true potential of her powers. However, this side has never emerged before and has only been seen through the visions of the Professor.

Bio
Faith Crest was born 19 July, 1994. Believing her mother died during childbirth, she was handed over to her godmother, Patricia Musso. She took her home to her husband, Robert, and the two acted like adoptive parents to preserve her mother's dying wish. They lived in Marwick for many years, although Faith's uncontrollable powers continued to manifest at an early age of seven. Patricia - who knew Professor Xavier through their shared knowledge of the existence of mutants - contacted and pleaded with her old friend to help their goddaughter. He placed psychic barriers around her mind, although he was fearful of a dark side as a result of her telepathic abilities since he had a vision that this would happen in the next ten years in the future. Faith lived a very happy childhood thereafter. She would go on to become the captain of the netball team at Marwick High School, although this would be short-lived by the continued manifestation of her powers.

Shortly after turning the age of fourteen, Faith's powers were uncontrollable again. This resulted in her running away from home in an effort to stay away from people, whose thoughts she didn't want to hear. With Professor Xavier, Patricia found Faith two days later. They explained that she was special, a mutant with powers, a human being already on the way to the next step of evolution. The Professor offered her a place at his school and she reluctantly agreed, hoping that she'd be able to discover more about her birth parents and why she had these mutant powers. But as soon as she joined him and the rest of the other mutants at the X-Mansion, trouble was brewing already.

Magneto, still intent on world domination, attempted to sway Faith into giving into her desires and told her to join his side, so that they could take revenge on the world that didn't know they existed. Faith considered his offer for a while, eventually thinking that the Professor manipulated her into joining him at the Institute. She was emotionally confused for several weeks, even turning her back on and refusing to speak to the others in the Mansion. One day, Magneto used the Brotherhood to corner Faith and capture her at will. However, that was when the X-Men rescued her. Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm and Wolverine brought her back to safety at the Mansion and finally managed to convince Faith that Magneto was the evil one pulling the strings, with her as the puppet. Faith was ashamed of herself, but eventually came to trust the Professor and the X-Men once again.

Now she keeps having dreams that the next generation of mutants will decide the fate of the world and the secret of mutants will be exposed to the world. She fears that this will have to backfire eventually. In the meantime, Faith continues to have regular sessions with Professor Xavier to maintain some form of control over her telepathic powers, but begins to have doubts about her own motives when her precognitive powers reveal a terrifying side to her ...

Alright! finally finished it! I hope you like it ^_^.

Name: Mark Fevro
Alias: Cyclone
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Power(s):

Aerokinesis

Aerokinesis or Anemokinesis is the ability to mentally affect or move wind currents or wind. With this ability, one can easily resist wind pressure, move air particles to create vacuums to suffocate foes, or send wind at foes as gale-force currents. One with this ability could even travel on air currents via flight or walking. Another faculty of this ability is Aerogenesis in which one can generate breathable air or the constituents of air. Mark often uses this ability to play jokes on people such as controlling the wind so people can’t get to somewhere before him.

Superhuman Reflexes or Super-Reflexes is the superhuman ability to react to stimuli beyond the capability of others. People with this ability can dodge bullets, catch flies mid-air and normally react instantaneously to what others take more time to react to. If a person attempts to punch a person with this power, this person can dodge the hit and retaliate before the first person even gets a hit in.

Side: X-Men
Personality:

Mark is a relatively quiet person compared to some of his fellow X-Men. It is not because he is shy though, the actual reason for his quietness is mostly because he feels that he needs to set an example for some of the younger members of the X-Men. He does have a sense of humor, but it doesn’t show too often. Being in the X-Men for as long as he has, he has earned a role of leadership among them. Despite him not being too old, he is very smart and mature beyond his years.

Nationality: American

Bio:

Mark had a mostly normal life as a child. It was discovered when he was very young that he had powers but instead of shunning him his parents decided to help him through it. The fact that he had powers sometimes caused trouble in school if someone was to upset him. One day, when Mark was twelve, he had snuck downstairs to see if his mother had returned home even if he was technically suppose to be in bed.

She would sometimes come home at the most ridiculous hours which upset his father to know end. One night Mark’s father saw his mother being dropped off by a man one late night. His father saw the whole thing and was furious, he assaulted Mark’s mother in rage and began to beat her. Mark called the police too scared to understand what was happening. His father was taken away and his mother filed for divorce. His mother won full custody of Mark and he went to live with her. Mark learned that his mother had been seeing another man for a long time and his mother had plans to marry this other man. Unfortunately the new man didn’t like Mark and verbally abused him when Mark’s mother was not around. Mark began to foster a hate for the new man who’s name was “Steve” he was the reason his parents were not together any more. He was the reason Mark spent many night’s crying himself to sleep in misery. It was time to take a stand. Fourteen now, Mark planned to take action. When Steve showed up at him and his mother’s house to take his mother out for a date, his mother and Steve got into a fight and Steve slapped his mother and told her to shut up. That was the final straw. Mark exploded with rage releasing a savage wind blast that torn the house apart. Wind began to swirl around Mark like a tornado tossing things into the air. His mother called the police and they tried to take Mark away. But Mark escaped and spent four years on his own experiencing the cruelties of the world, stealing for food and living wherever he could. When he was eighteen he tried to rob a bank but was stopped by the X-Men. He is knocked unconscious and brought to the institute. He is convinced by Professor X to join the X-Men and he has been with them ever since.
