No, with the DtD closed and Ansem not learning how to use the CoD until after his banishment, I highly doubt he'd travel to the RoD.
Look, the Pureblood Heartless we run into during KH1 were the Heartless Xehanort accidentally created. Before his experiments, Heartless did not appear in the RoL, as they were trapped in the RoD.
No, the Heartless in the RoL are the ones Xehanort created.
The Neoshadows were summoned by MX and the Darksides were in the RoD.
As you can plainly see, the worlds aren't infested with them like they are in KH1. Heartless didn't start to appear in the RoL until after Xehanort accidentally creates Purebloods from his experiments.

Besides, how do we know for sure that the beings we are looking at are actually "Heartless", hm? Sure, these creatures come to be known as Heartless after Xehanort names them, but how do we know for sure that the creatures we see in BBS are exactly the same as the Pureblood Heartless Xehanort creates? For all we know, Heartless coming from a heart didn't happen until after Xehanort's experiments and that the "Heartless" that existed during BBS were nothing more than creatures of darkness, which would mean that, even though these creatures existed, they weren't Heartless, thus making Nomura's statement true.
The KH universe still has rules and restrictions that are followed.
One of them being how can BbS take place 9 to 10 years before BbS...

Anyways, that's not exactly what I was talking about. For example: Beings of Light cannot pass through the DtD, as only beings of darkness can pass through it.
But they did appear twice!! They look exactly like heartless without any type of deviation. Heartless are darkness made real. They are born when a persons heart is taken over by darkness.
THOSE CREATURES WERE HEARTLESS PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

Appearance wise, yes. However, we still don't know if they were just like Heartless Xehanort created in every way. We do not know for sure if these Heartless were born from people's hearts or if they were just creatures of darkness. If they were the latter, then they wouldn't technically be Heartless.
They are now, yes, but we do not know if the Heartless in BBS are exactly the same as our current Heartless.
Or so you assume. They very well might be what the Heartless were before they were Heartless.
We do not know what Xehanort's experiments could have resulted in. They could have easily changed things in big way.
Coulda woulda shoulda. Your assuming and going against visual evidence. Thats like me flat out saying MX heart didn't go into Terra even though I saw it happen.
If he's doing something as "stupid" as that, he has a reason to, and its back-up by Nomura saying Heartless didn't exist in BbS, which can be interpretable in three way:
- Emblem Heartless didn't exist.
- Pureblood Heartless didn't exist.
- The dark creatures are a different type of "Heartless", or more to say, they're creatures that have a name but it is unknown to this point.
O rly? You have visual evidence that these Heartless are exactly (not just physically, but the way they act and how they are created) like the Heartless Xehanort created?
Pray tell, what is it? Because all I've seen is that they look exactly alike. What I haven't seen, however, is a BBS Heartless being born from a person's heart. So let's see this "visual evidence" that proves me wrong.

Well when he stabbed himself, his heart was floating up, and probably would have became a heartless, but he is so powerful he made it come back down and put it into Terras body, so no heartless was made?
I'm certainly hoping that was the case, as it would explain why XH wasn't a Heartless.

Not trying to discredit, but how do we know that all those guys lost their hearts a year after xehanort becoming an apprentice.
Because, according to Leon, Radiant Garden was taken over nine years before KH1, thus being one year after BBS, and the apprentices had already become Nobodies by then.
