Would Nomura Do This: Story Reasons for Disney Worlds With HD Scenes?

Do you think that Nomura would give a story reason for the Disney worlds in KH3 with HD scenes? Is it possible that the HD scenes were glimpses of what the Sora in another world line was doing at the same time that the Sora we play as was in that version of the world? KH3 would be the first game that Disney worlds were treated to HD scenes, so maybe Nomura will do something with that information?

I'm not really sure what you're asking here. Are you suggesting that the HD scenes in the Disney worlds are actually taking place in a different worldline? Why on earth would that be the case?
I'm pretty sure that HD cutscenes in video games in general are merely a way to indicate a point in the story of particular significance (and also they give SE a chance to flex their Unreal Engine muscles a little harder here and there). I can't fathom how you thought up alternate worldlines as a reason for them. They're pretty common elements in gaming, and have been for many console generations at this point, even way back to the PS1 era.

It's Verum Rex in Toy Box, "Let It Go" and the ending scene on the boat in Arendelle, and the end scene in The Caribbean.

Because Verum Rex was HD, it seems suspicious that two other Disney worlds also got that treatment. Specifically scenes that deal with "love".

My crazy theory is that those specific scenes are glimpses into another worldline - especially because the originating HD scene - Verum Rex, comes from a world that was "split". In Arendelle, maybe the end scene on the boat is what happens in a worldline where Sora actually spent time with Elsa instead of that one conversation? While the Arendelle we played was different.

Huh. I never noticed those scenes, except the Verum Rex commercial and the Falsus Rex scenes of course. I always thought it was just the developers having really good grasp of the Unreal Engine. Makes me look forward to what they can do with UE5.

The CGI Disney scenes were the Verum Rex trailer, Let it Go, Anna confronting Elsa, Elsa hitting Anna...the short scene between those two with SDG walking up to the ice palace, the Arendelle ending...that scene with Jack Sparrow and Beckett, and both the scenes post Davy Jones fight.

The scene where Rapunzel revives Eugene isn't CG, that's just good lighting.

Literally most of the CG Disney scenes are in Arendelle wtf.

I believe that Rapunzel reviving Eugene is pre-rendered, using assets from the game instead of visualworks CGI. I can spot compression when I view it in-game and the special effect on the revival is just slightly too good for me to believe it's running in real time without any frame drops.

I think the visual works scenes were them flexing on their ability to rival reality/Pixar but also to save time not building environments that won't be reused.

So, will Nomura tie that into the plot? Probably not. Is it a test to see if they continue to push that line for future games? Absolutely.

The Remixes had the spinning hearts, but not the original KH1 and KH2. Maybe it means that KH1-KH2 occurred in one world line, while the Remixes occurred in another?

Not the case. When the game was announced Nomura was adamant that eventually the two would diverge in their story.

I think load times are a sign that the worlds are in a more or less advanced state of restoration from fragmentation. Load times between worlds represent their painful, current separation. When The World is once again whole, we'll get to play an open world game with no visible load times.

The spinning heart remains a mystery. We're probably meant to solve it using the power of friendship. Maybe our playing the franchise since 2002 is what keeps the black box running and we'll be featured in one of the next games like the UX players in KH3.
