Obviously, even though interviews have confirmed that Disney basically gave the KH3 team free reign to pick the game's themed worlds, the majority of them are likely to be based on prominent and successful Disney properties, with maybe one or two surprises along the lines of Tron and Timeless River. That said, what are some less obvious choices that likely have little chance but you'd like to see anyway?

First on my list would be Atlantis: The Lost Empire. The movie isn't an all-time best and was a pretty notorious underperformer by Disney animation standards, but it had a cool, more mature approach to its designs and concepts that could make for some really great settings and potential fights. Same goes for Treasure Planet.

There's also some untapped potential with Disney's fairly large library of TV series. Some older ones like Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin and Gargoyles could provide a neat setting, though I fear the staff would probably feel that most younger gamers would be too unfamiliar with those series. Looking at more recent stuff on the Disney Channel, though, I think a Kim Possible level would be great fun, and since Gravity Falls and Phineas & Ferb seem to be the network's current big cartoons, I'd be curious to see how either of those could be manipulated to fit Sora and company, especially given P&F's super cartoony nature.

Most of the other stuff I want has already been discussed ad nauseum, like Disney's animated hits post-KH2, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel. Does anyone agree with any of the above choices or have some other unlikely candidates of their own?

Make this happen, Square. Do it and I will forgive the lack of a Frollo boss fight.

I'd be very game for a Gravity Falls world in KH, whether it be an main plot world or a sideworld, I just don't know how it could possibly work in KH. They'd have to redesign the KH crew to fit into the world, and while that would be amazing to see, I just don't know if they'd go to the trouble to do it. And while I know Gravity Falls is hella popular here, is it popular in Japan? (ihopeitis)

The Black Cauldron: Yeah this movie was pretty infamous and it's considered to be the ultimate black sheep in the Disney animated line up but all the same I would like to see it be adapted somehow because the dark elements of the movie like the Horned King for example can be a good shake up compared to the other worlds that aren't as dark.

Storybrooke from Once Upon a Time: I'm a fan of this series and while it's not really possible to be adapted due to it being a different universe in it's own right it would be interesting to see Sora and the other characters interact with the characters of OUAT like Emma and their reactions to seeing the other fairy tail characters being different from who they know before like Hook.

You stole my answer kind of, my first thought was Kim Possible haha, but I always say they should use the first movie specifically because it was a direct to dvd movie and not a disney channel original one like the second. So it could maybe have a better chance of appearing haha?

I wouldn't mind seeing The Black Cauldron in there. It certainly wasn't the best adaptation, but it wasn't quite as horrendous as a lot of people claim it is. They could very easily adapt that story into Kingdom Hearts III all things considered.

Also, for some reason, I can't help but think that it'd be interesting if Basch von Ronsenburg was in there as well.

Atlantis is considered Disney's greatest cult hit alongside Tron. So, if Tron was possible, Atlantis certainly is.

I want to see Treasure Planet in KH3, but the sheer scale of the movei's universe might be too much. Even with the technology of the PS4

You underestimate ps4

google no man's sky and see how it can be done, but I doubt they'd bring in a whole universe anyway (considering how they adapted deep space and monstro), probably just have some zones in different places from the movie but I couldn't tell you bc I've never watched the movie all the way through.

...or "Middleton". This has been a world I've been dying for since the show came out. They could follow the movie's plot (the non-time travel one, even though I adore that movie) or just take Drakken/Shego and make an original plot from there. I'd prefer if we arrive in their world after KP has established herself against the foes. Also, I envision Wreck-It Ralph's world being in Middleton. Ron can take Sora to the arcade and then they find Ralph's world. Sora goes into the arcade, while KP fights off the drama in the real world.

I'm sure I'm the only to say this but I would love a Princess and the Frog world.

Gargoyles, TR3N, GOTG, the black cauldron and a touching world with disney's most mature movies like Up, not to mention a gravity falls world with minimum emphasis on fight and geared towards mystery and adventuring (with a bill cipher superboss).

and where's my Shibuya?

Ya know, at first my vision for the world was a fighting world, but now, this makes more sense AND gives me more hope it could be incorporated.

I'd love to go around and solve riddles and mysteries, etc.
