In the teaser, it already seems like Anna and Elsa are taking a more active/physical role, instead of it mainly being about their emotions or anything like that, so it could help out their case if F2 is gonna push how capable and proactive they are. It seems Disney is also taking an interesting/different route, so maybe they'd be a little less strict for interpretations and things after it comes out.

Elsa and Anna probably still won't be party members or links. Kristoff and Olaf are possibilities though. And maybe the new girl.

Lol having Kristoff and Olaf as party members wold be a bigger slap in the face at this point than just...like Leaf Marshmallow that they make up for the game (because autumn seems to be a thing in this movie instead of winter).

Like this is one of their biggest female led properties. I guess it would be cool if they realized that. If that new girl has autumn powers then I could see her being a party member I guess, and actually being sorta fine with that.

The world needs that version of Elsa as a party member. That teaser was sick.

In all honesty given her role in the first film's story it's not surprising she wasn't a party member. Anna would've made more sense story wise. I think they probably had trouble coming up with abilities for her but they could've had her provide support abilities like Mike Wazoski along with throwing snowballs.

While I still enjoyed Arendelle, it's biggest flaw was the lack of connection between SDG and Frozen gang. KH is usually pretty good at that stuff but it was horrifically absent in Arendelle.

I'm sorry but to be frank with you, I highly doubt they'll bring back Nightmare Before Christmas in the next KH games.

What's REALLY there left to tell for a story? Nightmare Before Christmas we've already touched the events of before AND after the events of the movie...and to be honest, I'm pretty satisfied with the way they ended it off in Kingdom Hearts III. Sure, they could've given a story of their "sequel" The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge, but I feel it's far too late for that now. Having Oogie being brought back is pretty repetitive and linear at this point.

I agree, Anna and Elsa look more proactive than before and judging by the looks of the trailer it seems to be the route their taking. Now again, once it becomes a world in KH4 we don't know if Disney will put restrictions to the world once again but my hope that it isn't a frequent like it was back in KH3.

My favorite disney/pixar movies are bugs life and the incredibles. I imagine bugs life is a one time situation, where its world would show up one time in one game only. The incredibles on the other hand has more re visitation potential.

Also, Olympus has constantly been one of the best worlds in the series thus far, and with the pandora box we see at the end, I expeect it to show up in the next game, and by next game I mean main entry not spin off.

Maybe part of the reason why Anna, Kristoff and Elsa were not party member's for this game is that Square Enix and Disney Animation agreed to use Frozen 2 for a future entry, with the Frozen cast being the party members. Square Enix do see Disney movies before they are theatrically released, it's how Frozen and Big Hero 6 made it into Kingdom Hearts III.

I agree with you on Anna and Kristoff, but I never expected/wanted Elsa to be a member of the party in the first place. I always thought the whole movie was a metaphor and Anna's inability to accept herself leads to the isolation and casting of an eternal winter. She walled off everybody including her own family not knowing that her actions don't actually affect just her, but the rest of the world. Even her usage of ice was spot on. This is the short version of my thoughts on the movie, but basically I think the metaphor would've been ruined if Anna had joined the party.

They can easily come up with original plots if they try hard enough. As long as they don't bring back a load of old worlds at the same time like in CoM and coded, it should be fine. I definitely would love to see The Nightmare Before Christmas now that they have these great graphics. Make it a musical mini-game world if they have to.

same, I wanna see how well they could do an emulation of the stop motion animation style. And the only other disney films with stop motion animation (that I know of) are Frankenweenie and James in the giant peach so.... lol

While I respect why people want to see NBC coming back to see how it will look like in the Unreal Engine 4, personally I think the world is already done in terms of story.

Lastly, while I could see Frankenweenie maybe appearing in a future game, I don't think we will be getting James and the Giant Peach in a KH game anytime soon. Even if it's a Disney film it still was based on a book by Roald Dahl (even if the majority of the Disney animated films are adaptations of books (e.g. Pinocchio, Rapunzel, Snow White, Bambi, Winnie the Pooh)) and that requires special permission/negotiations from the author's family and the estate, which tbh I don't think they will allow it to be adapted as a KH world when compared to Nomura getting permission from Pixar to use their movies as worlds in KH3 and when they use Tarzan's world (Deep Jungle) from special permission from the Edgar Rice Burroughs estate before Disney lost the copyright to Tarzan.

Although I love the world, realistically I can't see this coming back as their isn't any other story left for this world and will feel redundant on bringing back certain elements from previous visits to Halloween Town (e.g. Oogie Boogie revived again, Jack Skellington doing another idea for Christmas).

Remember when Big Hero 6 was announced as a world back at D23 Expo 2015.

Well this is just my thought, but I saw a generally idea of Disney's upcoming movies release dates for the next 4 years.
We all know Frozen 2 is this year. But there is another Disney animated movie for November 2020. It was supposed to be Gigantic (Jack and the Beanstalk) but the movie was shelved and replaced with something else.

I've been hearing it could be this original movie tale called "Dragon Empire" which based on the characters names it sounds like its going to have a lot Asian Themes (specifically Chinese). That something they'll be probably go into greater details at D23 2019. But just like Big Hero 6, They can use this original soon to be release movie Dragon Empire for Advertisement purposes, just a thought.

Im pretty sure all the Pixar related movies will be telling an original story, so The Incredibles World would take place after Incredibles 2.

But that bring in a Concern, How would they do an original Story with Coco? Because the movie really takes the Land of Dead more effective during the movies plot, But how on earth would they do an original with Coco, how would miguel go back to the land of dead on the spot?

It would make sense cause in the climax of the second film all supers have been legalized. So it would be interesting on where the story will go.

With Coco, I can envision the story could take place after the events of the film (before or after the epilouge) where Sora (and perhaps Donald and Goofy) ending up in the land of the dead but at the same time he encounters and helps Miguel's great-great relatives (Hector, Mother Imelda, Coco, Papa Julio, etc..) and Miguel on a new threat that is threatening the Land of the Dead and Santa Cecilia (e.g. one of the antagonists or Heartless and/or Dream Eaters is causing havoc on the civilians preventing them from reaching the ofrendas and seeing their living relatives.

Besides the connection of Family (la Familia), Remembrance and memory which were the themes of the original movie and could connect with Sora's character development, The alebrijes could be an important story plot connection for the world cause in the original film they are meant to be spirit guides to their owners and their families such as Dante and Pepita. What if there were alebrijes that became corrupted and turns itself into a Heartless or Nightmare Dream Eater and actually do the opposite? I could so imagine the world culminated with either a Heartless or Dream Eater boss based on the Mexican deity, Quetzalcoatl with Sora riding on Pepita and battling the boss in the vein of Sora riding on Baymax and the Magic Carpet.

But hey, I'm very excited on how Pixar and Square Enix will come up with the new story for a world based on Coco, another interesting thing to note is that apparently Jason Katz who worked on the Toy Story movies and was one of the consultants with the Toy Story world in Kingdom Hearts III also worked on Coco.

Coco definitely screams Kingdom Hearts level from both the environment, the story, the alebrijes and potential boss, so i'm very excited to see Square recreate it as a level.

Potential Heartless or Dream Eater Boss:

Speaking of which besides Randall from the Monster's Inc. world in KH3, what other Pixar villains do you think we might see in the next KH game? Because once again it will depend on Square and especially Pixar on what role the antagonists from the films play in the original story and whether that antagonist would fit within the story or simply not add them in. For Randall, he was brought back by Vanitas as a pawn so he can collect Negative emotions for the Unversed and for Vanitas. I really don't think that villains such as Syndrome and Hopper will be in it due to their demises in the film, Waternoose because he got arrested and Sulley has now became the CEO of Monster's Inc. and their's recently our recent Pixar antagonists: Ernesto de La Cruz (Coco) and Evelyn Deavor (Incredibles 2) the former who is now currently trapped under bell in the Land of the Dead for good and the latter who gets arrested, so we shall see but realistically I don't think none of these antagonists might fit in an Original storyline based on the Pixar movies when compared to Randall's role in Monstropolis.

Just like with Orignial stories with the Pixar movies, The Pixar Villains aren't really threatening and they don't will really pose they same level of malevolence as other villains they can utilize.

Pixar aren't known for their villains in the first place, so it really doesn't matter in that front for inclusions or not, I know people really wanted Zurg but I had the feeling he wasn't going to get represented because he's just a minor character in Toy Story 2.

Plus I think Pixar are kind of picky on their antagonists which is why we never got to beat up Randall and he was just there to be kind of antagonizing the situation.
Just like with Big Hero 6, Because the Incredibles has the super hero aspect they can put any random threat in the movie, since its most likely going to take place after the sequel than Evelyn just like BH6 villain are in prison, so it wouldn't matter. Then I think with Coco would also follow suit and just put a random monster as the main fight and how would they work around the movie to try and make it original is beyond me.
