Since it was stated that each master teaches the apprentices soul rather than them does that mean a master will most likely shape his apprentice.
Say evil teacher evil apprentices off the bat?

Nomura interview >_>
Front page.
---As for original masters, they who teach the methods of wielding the keyblade to their pupils, do they exist?

Nomura: Not just that, but also the role of keyblade users, since the thoughts of each master differs, it's their spirit being taught. The reason why a master must train others to use the keyblade is explained in this game.

I regard soul and spirit as the same.

Ahem.
I realize that they may be but in some terms they are the same.
I use soul and spirit as the context shaman king uses it.
To explain whats left over when the body is no longer on this plane.
Soul is your essence so is your spirit.
Your soul can live on so can your spirit.
There are both inanimate things that describe someones being.
Sorry if our ideals clash.

Yo Trixy, here's the quote he based his..um theory off of.

I guess Nomura was saying that each master has different philosophies, so it isn't just them being taught, it's their soul.
So their not actually teaching the soul, more like influencing it.

This isnt a theory.
I asked a simple question....
How does that qualify as a theory?

Don't get technical, he was just using a different choice of words.
And like he explained, it's in a more philosophical meaning then a literal.

DS isn't the master.

Anyway, I guess Master shapes Apprentice, kinda like the way Parents shape their children.
So DS is a reflection on MX and TAV are a reflection of their Master.

Umm i thought thats what i typed lol.
I was saying ds is shaped from MX that would kind of explain why MX could of been talking about ds and correcting his mistake.

Your idea has caught my attention~ The word that Nomura used was "seishin"... Which can mean a lot of things:

精神 【せいしん】 (n) mind; soul; heart; spirit; intention

I didn't use the word heart when I translated it because in the Kingdom Hearts context, he wasn't referring to that part of a person. I thought that spirit fit the context the best, but as you can see, it has other connotations.

Considering in KH, people are made up of the body, heart, and soul, maybe Nomura was implying more than we thought? Like it mentions...

---As for original masters, they who teach the methods of wielding the keyblade to their pupils, do they exist?

Nomura: Not just that, but also the role of keyblade users, since the thoughts of each master differs, it's their spirit* being taught. The reason why a master must train others to use the keyblade is explained in this game.

*Replace spirit with soul and then it takes on another connotation right?

What if its the Master's responsibility to imprint the keyblade knowledge onto their apprentice's soul? And then somehow VAT's souls are connected to SRK? Was the Lingering Sentiment (Terra) implying in that KH2FM+ scene that his soul was supposed to go to someone other than Sora, but thats what happened anyway?

Just throwing out some ideas. :3
