They're known. A mother and father is indeed known in Disney movies.........they just die. Because tradition states it.

Yeah, but at least they acknowledge the fact that they died from time to time. Parents barely even get a MENTION in kh!

Pretty hilarious that we saw Xehanort's mother before Sora's. Speaks volumes of how much Nomura loves Xehanort and his story. At this point, Kingdom Hearts is more about him than Sora in many ways.

Both Sora's mother and father are acknowledged in KH, and we know Kairi was adopted by the mayor or w/e

The lack of actual biological relationships in the series is kinda disappointing.

Well it’s kind of understandable since the games focus more on friendship so biological relationships weren’t important to the plot. Although the plot still has a big focus on friendship at least they are giving biological relationships in the series more acknowledgement than they used too since we actually get to see them on screen now instead of them being just a voice in the background so at least there been some kind of progress since the first game.
