Why does Xehanort's nobody choose to put the letter "X" in the names of the org. XII?

He gives them the "x" to mark them as Organization members. And in the process makes an anagram of their original name. Example Roxas = Sora; Sora + 'X' = Roxas

I don't think he does.

He does name them actually. Every new recruit goes through a naming ritual as seen in this video.

It's just how Nobodies are named. I highly doubt that Xemnas named Xigbar, Xaldin, Vexen, Lexaeus and Zexion. They're ALL the founding members of Org. XIII.

they probably named themselves seeing as though they were the founding members but yes xemnas does in fact name the org. members

Xemnas puts an 'X' to symbolize that they are part of his organization and that X = his original name and he is the leader.
X = Xehanort

so i guess it symbolizes Xemnas' original name, Xehanort that started with an 'X'.
