Why the gameboy advanced?

I agree with AllEndsWith-, imo it was to expand the KH franchise, Nintendo's GBA was becoming quite successful so it was only natural at the time to use it for the next chapter in the series. The game itself was relatively short, adding to the idea of the console switch.

Ya but they did end up putting it on the ps2 anyway.

It was a bonus after all and to tie some loose ends in the story, or just wanted to see how we react to 3D Com.

They wanted to spread ehm games for more fans and whatnot. And you know what it actually worked!

if it cost more to produce for the ps2 then why did they make a remake of it for the ps2 ??

I believe they did this so more people that are fans would buy the systems, and so that they could get more of an audience in different game systems.

Perhaps they wanted people to get a wgole new perspective on characters in 2-D. They definitely looked a lot different

Because in 2005 the GBA was the star media of handheld gaming. If you want more profits why would i put it on a unit that just came or current wasn't selling well. Why didn't Re:Chain get on ps3, same reason. It's money people. Don't hate the playa hate the game.

The GBA was hot shit when this was released. Well, at least, the SP was. Lol, I think I threw mine away when I bought my PSP

Pretty much that Nomura wanted to.

It was relatively cheaper than doing it on the PS2, as well as that it was meant to tie over fans until KH2 came out.

That does seem to make alot of sense

Maybe they did it to have a reason to put 358/2 days on the DS

They probably did it cuz they thought the whole card system based fighting would fit in better on the gba.
