Why is his speed different?

Hey i know that terra in bbs is pretty slow compared to everyone else but why is he so damn fast in kh2fm?is it simply because he just got better over time or did nomura want to just make the gameplay of each character very different and easy for people to see how they're different?just wondering.

The Lingering Sentiment battle was supposed to be really difficult, hence why LS was made both powerful and fast.

Well it's not Terra, just his armour. I'd imagine it's a lot lighter without Terra in it.
