Why do Americans Hate Mexicans?

like the titles says, why do u hate us, it seems bush is going out of his way so he can keep mexicans out, americans say that "mexicans dont pay taxes" and "there taking all are job"

i realize that most americans only hate the illegal immigrants, but want about the immigrants who r trying to become citizens? is it right to hate them for trying to live the life of an american, so i dont understand why?

not all immigrants r lazy, not all dont pay taxes, some do and most of them come for work an to start a new life in such a rich country, my parents are immigrants, but they pay taxes an there trying to get there citizenship so its really not fair when people discriminate against my parents just because they cant speak "proper english"

so i ask u, why is it ur in such a hurry to get ride of us, were practically make up this country, why would u want to get ride of most of the population?why pick on mexicans? u realize that there is alot of illegal immigrants from other countries, japan, china, europe, africa, do u want me to go on, so if there is so many immigrants comming from other countries, why pick on mexicans?

But I really don't like the idea that Bush wants to build a wall to divide Mexico and the US... people say he loved immigrants like a father loves his son when he was governor of Texas. And I don't like that some people are racist/hateful towards immigrants.

First of all, we don't have nearly as much of a problem with Canadians crossing our border illegaly.

Secondly, there have been people that discussed this matter intelligently, though some are much less tactful than others.

Where do you go getting a generalized statement saying we hate Mexicans?

You mean because we enforce the law, regardless of the race, on them, because they come in here illegaly? You realize, whether it be a Japanese, a German, Chinese, Bermudan, Russian, or whoever, if they come in here illegaly, there will be action taken. The Mexicans just happen to be the only ones mass-invading at the time.

But I agree in some points, the citizenship laws might be able to be a little more light-weight, but then everyone would become a citizen and the U.S. would fill up.

And realize, if the Mexicans have a problem with where they live (Mexico) then they should take that problem up to THEIR government. Not come to ours because they have problems with their country. I've been to Mexico, I know it's hard, but why don't they actually do something about it, rather than flood the U.S?

Lol. Most illegal immigrants don't, and they are taking jobs from people who are legal and need them. We, Americans, pay taxes that go to the government that can pay the salaries of these "illegal" immigrants and put food on their table.

I come from a Hispanic family, but we came here legally, and are legal citizens. I wasn't born in the U.S. It's not hard to follow the law.

First of all that statement bases on the thought that "only mexicans cross the southern borders, that were all picking on them."
well that would be a half true fact, only that mexicans arent the only ones who cross that border, the immigrant living in my house i mentioned earlyer?

half of that sentance points out a commen racial steryotype that actualy contradicts another steyro type.
the steryotype is that mexicans can do any work, no matter how hard it is for cheaper money. lawn work, feild work, building, whatever.
No one ever said mexicans were lazy.
the other half of that sentence talks about how discrimination agianst your parents because they cant speak proper english.
i have not herd there specific accent, but i would assume that if you want to come to america, while your here, it may help you to practice english while you work on getting you work on getting citizenship. nothing wrong with that, though i am sorry for any discrimination your families may have been delt with.

i admit i hav been abit ignorant about the situtation but u must see it through my eyes, im legal, but my parents arent, i had to grow up pretty hard but it just gets me mad how people treat my parents, they work,they pay taxes, an there trying to get citizenship, but people seem to love to rub it in there face that there immigrants, i must admit that i really dont see much law enforced on other races, an just because i dont see it doesnt mean it doesnt happen, i may hav been ignorant any maybe i should hav picked a better title but i was just trying to get some positive debating an intelligent conversation, but it seems u all believe that i cant see theother stuff, im just merely pointing out that there is alot of racism torward illegal immigrants an why not be equal?

We don't have millions upon millions of mass terrorists crossing the Canadian border at the time, therefore there is no reason for a super huge border patrol fence.

....lemme explain further, i had herd they wanted to pass a bill witch would have them start costruction on a more advanced border patrol fence in the southern border of the united states and mexico,at first i didnt pay attention to the whole immigration thing and thought it was another security step by congress agiants terroriasts. and prior to it i had thought the terrorist crossed from the southern border, but recently i was told that they crossed from the top border.

come to think of it, my whole toak on the super border is irellevent to this topic.
my mistake, sometimes my mind wanders onto other topics.

Exactly. The Canadians are not coming in mass numbers. You think a border-long fence costs 5 bucks at your nearest convenience store? Canadians have proven they won't empty their country by invading the USA, so they have more leniency. How many Mexicans jumped over the fence yearly, again?

Get it right. Illegal immigration is just that: illegal. It's a crime, and crimes are punished.

i have no problems with mexicans, but it is weird that they almost always come in groups of like 5(just at my schoool, and not all of them) and one of my best friends is mexican, even if he is annoying....yeah.

but its not suprising this went over to immagration discussions. but i really doubt pho will lose this arguement
