Why didn't Ventus question on how Vanitas randomly appeared in his room?

He was confused and probably unsettled on how Vanitas said he'd never see Terra again if he didn't hurry. And things like "oh there's a stranger in my room!" don't really hold much value in Kingdom Hearts, do they...

He asks him who he is, which, idk, seems like the more important question to me. Especially since Vanitas leaves through a CoD, which basically answers the "how" anyway.
