Why didn’t Master Xehanort just pull a Nick Cannon?

Why didn’t Master Xehanort just pull a Nick Cannon and have 12+ children (maybe by the same woman or different ones). Then bestow them each with a keyblade, isolate them from society, indoctrinate and train them, and plant his heart in all of them. As opposed to going through all these time travel shenanigans and also dealing with people who aren’t as committed to the cause. Keyblade wielding status might be partially hereditary etc. Maybe his preference was only Eraqus and he couldn’t push himself to live this alternate lifestyle I’ve just detailed.
