Why are Ven's eyes lifeless? because he's DEAD!

I'm not sure where I stand on the matter, because I do think Ven looks a little too lifeless to have lost his heart, but then again, it IS eerily similar to when Kairi lost her heart. And it IS rare that a KH protagonist in the series is actually DEAD (Ansem the Wise being the only exception at this time)

But to Ulti: If memory serves me correctly, they showed Vesper as she drowned herself in the last trailer for Casino Royale before the movie was released. But then again, she was still technically alive, so I suppose you've got a point. XD

Ven isn't dead. He If you lose your heart, you don't die, so I agree with you.

Like everyone else said, when Kairi lost her heart in the first KH, she did look lifeless--meaning that it could be the reason for Ven to be the way he is.

True, I highly doubt KH would show a CORPSE in that manner. You don't hang a dead body near a paopu(spelling :S) tree, you bury it.

I think he's recovering from the horrid freezing, some kind of mental shock, or he had his heart removed. Those seem highly likely compared to some bent over cloaked guy watching his corpse.

No, at the end of Birth by Sleep Ven is turned into magic bacon and placed in a bottle that winds up on Destiny Islands. Sora then eats the random bacon and obtains Vens essence as well as the ability to wield the keyblade.

i agree with your first suggestion. in the new trailer, you see the part of the secret ending (bbs from kh2fm+) where aqua holds the frozen ven. i think they wrapped him in a blanket and brought him to a tropical island to thaw. he just hasnt recovered yet.

I didn't think about the trailer bit, but you're right. Even if Ven does die, I seriously doubt they'd spoil it in the trailer, even though it seems like they've spoiled several things or even too much.

Maybe people(and by people I mean probably aqua)could be searching someone to put ven's lost heart into.So roxas looks like ven 'cause sora was the only "human" who could take others people's hearts inside himself.

Yeah, something's going to happen to make him lose his heart or whatever,and he's going to be left in the Chamber of Wakening at Castle Oblivion. He's not dead...'cause if he is, why would Roxas look like him?
