Who's this young boy riku adored?

We saw xehanort at the beggining of BBS.. well we haven't known if what age or time he went out of D.I to go on a journey and ending up in L.D to train as an apprentice..

But for so there is one question im wondering

1:In bbs sora was a newly born so same goes as riku i think.. now the question is riku has a phrase he adored someone who's really smart way back at D.I that went off whom i think was xehanort... BUT~ Xehanort was already an old faggot when riku and sora was born.. so who's this young boy riku was reffering to when he talked with tera?..

It could have been Xehanort, but it's possible that Riku could have heard about Xehanort from some sort of island folklorist. That might be unlikely. Plus, Young Xehanort also the ability of time traveling and he was also one of the secret bosses in Kingdom Hearts BBS if I remember correctly.

It's most likely Xehanort, but that doesn't mean 5year-old Riku actually knew the "smart kid" he refers to personally. He most likely just heard stories about it, as even his statement implies it:

I heard once there was a kid who left for good.

He only says that he heard about that kid, there is nowhere an implication that he knew this kid nor is there any hint about when this other kid left.

Destiny Islands is a backwater world, as backwater as you possibly can get so someone leaving for good is probably a huge issue in the community of the Islands which remains circulating around as folkore.

The young boy in question is indeed Xehanort. Time has passed yes and Xehnaort is really old, but stories about him could very well circulate in Destiny Islands. I think it was not very common to leave ones home world(the worlds being divided and all), so it is no wonder people remember this one kid leaving DI.

Maybe, we'll get to hear more about Xehanort's legend in KH3. I am wondering if Xehanort started out the same as Sora. Did his world somehow get swallowed up by darkness as in KH1?? How did people come to learn that a boy left the islands?

Maybe, those are miniscule questions. Does anyone have thoughts about that?

If anything, I was thinking that Xehanort was the young boy who was fed up with destiny islands and MAYBE built his own raft to escape. I think that scene with young xehanort and eraqus happens after xehanort leaves. which makes me think that xehanort left destiny islands, went to the ORIGINAL land of departure where he was brought in by their former master and became a keyblade wielder. or maybe became a keyblade wielder first, then left.

Sora needed Goofy and Donald's Gummi Ship while Terra, Aqua and Ventus needed to their armor and keyblades, Mickey used the Wayfinder or whatever that star-shaped thing was called and the Organization used the dark corridors to get from world to world.

That or he was just found by a master and taken away. lol
If Terra is any example then masters apparently just find potential people at random, do their ceremony crap, leave and hope the kid someday gets a keyblade and appears to them or another master.
