So, it actually kind of took me a while to see her in this. It's just a bit too cluttered.
For the most part, the effects are done fairly well, but it's much too cluttered.
If you're going to have a stock image other than Waldo, you need to have some focus on it before people start thinking there isn't one. I thought it was abstract at first, and honestly in its current state, it would do better as such. The effects all in the center have this level of chaos going on, and then it abruptly stops once you hit the opening to what resembles a starry sky or something? I mean if you're just scrolling past it, it seems fine, but if you actually look at it with some detail, that sudden transition does not help it, not when you're trying to have this flow towards the center. If you were to focus on Elizabeth, I'd say clean up the chaos and get some sort of actual, I don't want to say uniformity, but you get what I'm saying. If you were to remove her and just do abstract, I'd still say ease that transition with the top regardless. Also, a problem with sharpening text like that is you see the choppy looking edges in the slants. You should always try to clean that mess up. And personally, I've never been a fan of a gradient slap on images and stocks, but that's a personal distaste (still one I think people overdo).
So essentially, whether you do it for this piece or not is irrelevant, but you need to decide on a focus. I see of lot of things on KHI where it's all just overly cluttered because "lolol i'll add more effects to fill the piece" regardless of whether or not it actually ADDS to the piece. What you need is continuity throughout the image to bring the whole thing together- especially on larger pieces. It has some, but it gets lost because of the random changes in what's going on, and those random changes honestly detract from what could have otherwise been a really solid piece.
