Which FF game should I get? :/

For my birthday I can get up to 3 FF video games, but I'm not sure which ones to get.
Some advice from those with experience? It's a pretty big decision for me as you can't buy Final Fantasy games here so I have to order them and it takes time and whatnot and I can only get them like once in a long while.
I'm considering:
FF VII
FF VIII
FFX
FFX-2
FFIX
If you have any other recommendations let me know? Thank you ^^

Get Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy X, I'm not really sure about VIII though and if you get the PS1 games you have to have a PS1 memory card other wise it won't save on your PS2.

If you can find VII-IX for reasonable prices then get those three, if you can't then get FFVI and FF Tactics advanced or FF Tactics.

Final Fantasy 1 and 2 for PSP.

Does he have a PSP? If so then get Tactics war of the lions, Crisis Core whenever the hell that comes out, and the above.

I have actually beaten the all but my favorites were 7 8 and a tie between 9 and 10
you can just get a psp and do homebrew and get all from 1 -9
like me

VIII to me was kinda hard and i beat it when i was lv 89 so thats how hard it is it takes strategy and IX was ok i kinda liked it cause of like vivi but too many battles way to many like one in every 5 sec you really cant go anywhere and if you flee you lose money 8 was cool umm 7 was the best very long though and yeah you need a ps1 memory card but psp and homebrew is your best way to go but get the slim like me and must have hd tv so it's like free games and on your tv pretty awesome i actually beat them on both but took forever like i beat them all but 4 cause it hasn't come out yet but i beat it in half a year

if you can, get VII through X-2. all of them are excellent games. also, ff tatics is amazing, but if you have a psp, then get ff tatics game for that.
