You read that right, with all of the characters Sora and the others have to save in KH3 which one would you rather be left unsaved? For instance, I really wouldn't mind if Roxas got left unsaved. Unpopular opinion I know, but I just find him really whiny and wouldn't mind if I never saw him again.

Although now that I think about it an interaction between Ventus and Roxas would be priceless.

EDIT: Guys, this is not meant to be taken so seriously. Of course I think everyone should be saved but I'm not asking if everyone should be saved I'm just wondering if there is anyone who if they weren't saved you wouldn't mind.

I love Roxas and Xion, and as much as I'd like for them to be "saved" I feel that they already are. I wouldn't mind seeing them again one last time, but they really don't have a purpose anymore in the series.

I'd also have no issue if Terra and Ven died too. They really need to cut down original characters, and I feel that those characters don't really need to be "saved" beyond KH3.

Well from the known list there's no one I hate. What would I gain from somebody not being saved? Its like c'mon its KH 3, we've been salty far enough lets leave the shaker alone.

I don't really think anybody should not be saved. They all deserve to be saved, regardless of opinions of the characters themselves.

Besides all being young and not even allowed the chance to live their own lives, they were all manipulated by others and it seems unfair to believe that any of them shouldn't be saved because they outlived their purpose or are annoying characters and so on.

There are ways that they can exit the story without them being killed for good. They can just say they will never fight again and stay in a quiet world for good. Heck, have one person die honorably in battle. Them not being saved would be a personal failure on Sora's shoulders and he already feels the burden of their pain and sadness. He doesn't need the guilt as well.

There is nothing gained from them not being saved except maybe some emotional fodder, but we've got enough of that in the games where they were first "hurt" in the first place.

This is hard to say.
For me, personally, everyone does deserve to be saved in the first place. There are characters like Roxas who were ruined by games like Days and of course the BbS cast that suffered from the terrible story-telling, and I know everyone derseves to maybe become a likable character.
I'd still want someone to sacrifice themselves in the end. Or just die. Any kind of ending that doesn't turn it into "all is well".
But whoooo? Right now, I think my favorite might be Lea for that role, but I'm completely undecided tbh. :x

All of them have, to me, varying amounts of woobiedom and annoyance. But I wouldn't be pleased if someone got left behind, no matter how unprobable saving them is. It's KH, there's always an asspull waiting around the corner.

If Ventus, Xion, Eraqus, or Terra were left out, I wouldn't care. I'm not rooting for them to die, but I'm not a fan of any of them either.

Why does everyone keep bringing up the literary trope of deus ex machina when referring to characters coming back? The god-in-the-machine device refers to sudden deliverances from hopeless situations that goes against the logic of the established story and is from nowhere. We've been hearing about Ansem's data since 2010 and people have been brought back from the Darkness thanks to love light heart magic ~*~~*~ since the first game, this isn't a contrivance.

I don't really want Eraqus to be saved. No, it's not because I hate him for his "light is right" paranoia or anything like that... it's just that I feel like it would take the impact out of his murder in BBS. If he sort of "lived on" in a Force Ghost kinda way, I wouldn't mind, but bringing him back all alive and well just feels wrong somehow.

It's also he doesn't fit with the existing charachter now. The gang doesn't really need an old timer keyblader after the war they'll fight and given Xehanort will probably get the electric chair, I'm not sure Eraqus should get top priority in building some sort of comeback
arc.

(Though him coming back to life just to die to Nort again tickles my grim funny bone.)

Its kinda a hard choice to choose who id like to be saved or not. I would want them all to be saved because i think its better that way in my opinion

Honestly, if Terra, Ven, Aqua, Roxas, Xion, or Naminé die, I'm going to be really ticked. They've already suffered bad enough fates, and if they die it would defeat the whole point of having this "saving them arc" in the first place.

That being said, I wouldn't mind if Ansem the Wise or Eraqus died (or just remained dead), as them being saved in III hasn't been nearly as hinted at. It's still up in the air about whether Sora's new journey even covers them, imo.

I also really don't want Riku Replica to come back or for Vanitas to be saved or redeemed. Just let Riku Replica stay one of the characters that has truly died.

And as for Vanitas... I just want one example in this series that shows that not everyone can "see the light", so to speak. And I think Vanitas is a perfect example for that. They could throw in his BbS novel flashbacks, to make what happens to him all the more tragic (and to show that maybe there was hope for him once upon a time), but still don't save him.

I'm also pretty indifferent towards Isa's fate (and most of the new Organization's, I guess)... I don't want him to become un-Norted, but at the same time it won't be a deal breaker for me if that does happen for him. -shrugs-

Terra... as much as I don't want any of the Keyblade apprentices or once Nobodies (and one Replica) to die, I feel like that no matter what one of them is going to have to. Which is beyond sad, but if it has to be one of them... I have a feeling that Terra will take himself--Xehanort--out for the greater good. Again, I don't personally want this. But if one of those characters has to die, I guess I'd be okay if it was something like this were to occur. But please only kill one of the people featured in Re:Coded's ending, Square. I don't want to feel like my journey in KHIII was all for nothing.

Most importantly: Xehanort. For the love of all that's holy, do not try to turn him good. That is too much a deal breaker, imo. And even if III ends up insanely revealing that Xehanort was right all along about the light and darkness thing, he's still not okayed, because the methods that he took to reach his goals (child abuse upon child abuse) is not good in the slightest! I'd probably quit the series if this were to happen. No having Young Xehanort go good. No having it be "Xehanort was possessed the entire time, probably by someone from Chi, and is really an upstanding person." Just no!

I'm also hoping that this game isn't going to pull a million people from Chi into it, alive and kicking, when they should be dead, but I feel like that's already set in stone. Ugh.

Y'know, I'm even worried about Data Sora becoming his own person in this or something...

So to simplify this all, I basically don't want anyone besides the apprentices and Nobodies being rescued. Otherwise, I'm afraid that Nomura won't know when to stop and will get a million new characters in this supposed finale, and will then have to juggle all that (when the series already has had trouble balancing its characters) for the next saga... Yeah, please don't do that, Nomura. Thanks.

Xion. She's always been a completely useless character to me. Days' story is probably the most uninteresting in the whole series. It was like fan fiction. She was just a replica made of a fragment of Sora's memories. She pretty much was "saved" already when she was defeated.

This right here.
Spockanort already said pretty much everything that is my opinion on the matter as well.
Seems we think alike...;)

Seriously, this whole setup of "I don't like this character so he/she shouldn't be saved." is rather childish.

It's not childish. Like I said before, this subject isn't supposed to be taken so seriously. It was just a thread for expressing how you feel about some characters in the series.

I also agree with MS and Sephiroth. I actually don't want anyone to die (well, out of the heroes, I mean).

BUT since I know it's not war without at least someone being lost forever, I made a list of the people that I personally could maybe deal with the loss of. Maybe.

(Also... KH has trouble juggling all of its characters, so as much as it sucks... maybe it would help the writing if there were somehow less people to deal with. But they could all just live normal and happy lives and stay out of the next saga that way, and I'd prefer that to needlessly killing someone off.)

But once again, if this could be at all avoided, I don't want anyone to be lost. I actually really love every single character in this series and think they're great and deserve so much more than they get, personally:)
