When does Riku earn his Keyblade?

In KHI and CoM, Riku uses Soul Eater. In Days, Riku still doesn't have his own Keyblade (iirc).

In KHII, he does have a Keyblade. Is it ever said when exactly does Riku earn this Keyblade? Was it between Days and KHII? Was it sometime during KHII?

I think he earned it off-screen.

Riku has Soul Eater as late as during KH2's second half when he fights Sora. It turns to Way to the Dawn sometime during when Sora is at TWTNW. Nobody knows exactly when or why he got his own keyblade.

To be specific didn't he get it sometime between the second China/Mulan visit and end game? One thing that seems unclassified as well is him summoning Soul Eater briefly in DDD. Is it two forms of the same weapon or two weapons entirely?
