I'm not even sure if Gerard deserves Rikku. BUT RIKKU BETRAYED HIM! She wouldn't do that! Would she?! WOULD SHE?!

The morning came. Gerard woke up and Asuka was still asleep in front of him. He performed his morning rituals and finished putting on his clothes. He looked out the window and watched the sunrise. He looked at Asuka laying on the bed quietly. I think I just made the biggest mistake in my entire life so far, he thought. He sat on the bed again.

When I'm lying in your bed play the motions through my head
you know that I'm thinking, I'm thinking...
and I have reasons to believe that I'm not the only
one you spend this time with, but I'll stay...​

Asuka got up and wrapped her arms around Gerard from behind him. Asuka reached over and kissed him on the cheek. "Are you okay?" Asuka asked with a smile.

"Asuka, last night," Gerard started.

"Shh... I know. You regret it, huh?"

"It's not you... It's just..."

"You still love her don't you?"

"Don't worry. I guess I can't blame you. But you can't blame her. She thinks you're dead," Asuka said. Gerard had the sudden urge to take a fork to his eye.

"You have to tell me these things before you sleep with me y'know,"

Asuka got her clothes on and brought Gerard up to the roof of the whole palace. He was amazed with the view, the sun, and the morning air. Crisp and clean, it had flowed down his body. He smiled.

When you're lying in your bed, your eulogy's been read
You know that it's fitting, you lie.​

"Asuka... I can't love you," Gerard blurted out. Asuka was speechless. She stared out into the horizon. Gerard looked as well. His eyes widened.

"Lunacy Fringe...." Asuka whispered.
