Honestly I don't find it that weird for people to be skeptical of her considering how much different stuff she has been leaking. Like... these are anonymous leakers... it's not weird to be wondering about it even if they do have some track record. As long as it doesn't turn to some sort of malicious harassing.
And it did sadly. Looks like the Era thread was closed because users went overboard.

I mean, I do think it is creepy how they got obsessed over finding out who she is, but I also think it was bad she was even doing what she was doing to begin with.

Yeah this is pretty much where I stand too. Scrutiny comes with the territory with this kind of behavior. That’s something you need to be prepared to handle if you’re going to leak things. At minimum, you’re going to have a target on your back from the companies who will be trying to sniff you out and shut you down.

On one hand, leaks about announcements. release windows. etc. don’t bother me personally. As long as it isn’t the actual content of the game. However, even those leaks aren’t harmless. People saying “a good thing has been ruined” seem a bit out of touch. I can’t really see Midori as the martyr some people are painting her as.

But the obsessiveness and harassment from others isn’t justified and seems to stem from jealousy rather than anything moral. Unless you work for the company and the leaks are harming your paycheck, you have no justification to attempt to doxx someone like that. It’s not that serious.

But speaking of leaks… check out this screenshot of Kingdom Harts 4 that just dropped:

I just watched the Star Wars Outlaws presentation. I remember a hope during KH3's development was the ability to take the gummi ship and fly seamlessly from space and land in a world.

I still don't know how feasible it is from KH's aesthetic, but it was so cool to see that concept realised in Star Wars Outlaws. Could be something for the team to consider for a future Kingdom Hearts game.

Whatever you think about Ubisoft games, they are technically very impressive. Like there is gulf of difference in technical abilities between ubisoft and KH team, so I don't really expect anything even remotely similar is possible from KH team regardless of aesthetics.
I just hope Quadratum is decent enough space that is filled up and looks good.

I just meant I was impressed that technology has evolved to show that landing from space is indeed possible, which Ubisoft has proven.

Of course Square Enix doesn't have thousands of employees that are able to output something on the level of Ubisoft, but they are magicians in their on right and they've shown again and again that they can achieve what was once considered impossible.

I guess I should give KH team some credit for KH3 since that was their first proper HD title, but despite loving the game I was never really impressed with it technically... except the Pirate's world (and extremely disappointed with Big Hero 6)

I always felt the team's strength was with artstyle and what they can portray in rather restricted/closed environment, rather than big open world and seamless transition stuff. Which is why I am still kinda skeptical of KH4's scope (as in the size of the world, especially Quadratum).... but I do hope they prove me wrong and they can deliver some big environment with great seamless transition and the world that is filled up with stuff. FF7R team proved me wrong with Rebirth so hopefully KH team can do the same with KH4.

I think there are a few problems with seamless space-to-planet transitions for KH.
- KH worlds have a super abstract, simplified design when seen from space
- sometimes KH worlds will break reality with how they start, placing Sora and pals in a predicament (falling into the rabbit hole, suddenly becoming sea creatures, cold opening on a crappy raft in the middle of the ocean) where seeing them land with the ship would only limit these possibilities
- Some KH worlds are super linear, some are not, but in both cases you risk spoiling the coolest vistas and reveals by giving an immediate bird's eye view of the playable zone

I do think a lot of these could be alleviated with a more esoteric 'approaching the world' sequence, but I fear without a hard cut, it's tough to integrate without sacrificing some of KH's most advantageous 'cheats'. It's a super cool effect in games about more traditional Sci fi space travel tho

I am very curious how KH4 will approach the world map. With the addition of Quadratum and urneality, how are they going to differentiate them on the world map? a portal in the map that takes you from reality world to unreality world?

I need something to kill time until Elden Ring DLC comes out so I might check out KH2FM on steam if I can have JP voice + EN subtitle. Never played Epic version so I don't even know if that was possible option on that version without a mod or something.

Remember to get to around lvl 140/150 and to build up a reserve of smithing items for the new DLC weapons............

Recently I remembered I was on new game+ to do something to get platinum trophy and forgot I hadn't beaten Rahdan/Mohg on my NG+ playthrough so I had to do that lol. I think my level is around 170 not sure how it's going to be for NG+ DLC.

I a mean, they already did with Starlink and that was on Switch.

I suspect the Starlink team got put on Outlaws. They sure weren't making a sequel.
