That’s also frustrating me so much. At one point in my life, I also want to have a family. And if you have kids, it’s just reality that you cannot binge game anymore because of other responsibilities. I really would have liked to play more new KH games in my 20s.

You don't stop being a person with hobbies and interests when you have children. If anything you can look forward to sharing a Disney game with them.
oh for sure. the kh4 trailer alone uses plenty animations from KH3/DDD. i should know, i've watched it 3687 times.

It's even crazier to think that we're nearing the start of the next console generation and we only have one trailer for KH4.

I don't think it's in development hell.
I think they're intentionally waiting until they're a year-ish out to start promoting in earnest.
i expected a bit of a wait for kh4, so i'm not too surprised, but honestly, they really need to figure out how to release these games more post haste.
in my opinion, kh4 hasn't hit the point where we can say it's in development hell just yet. i'm still holding on to the belief that it'll release in 2026, and if it doesn't by then, that's when we should start worrying.

People have been starting talking about whether it's time for a kh1 remake or whether the remasters are enough. But maybe the answer lies in between. I am deeply convinced they are planning something similar to what they did with Crisis Core: keep the basis, but update the graphics with unreal engine assets to attract newcomers. And maybe that's the reason they have been deeply quiet these past few years. Of course, this job would not be done by the main Osaka team, which is working on the future of the series. Maybe h.a.n.d (which made days, re:coded and twewy)? People still want days to have a proper remake.
What does a KH1 Remake achieve that the Remixes haven't already done? The only thing they could add is the EU dubbing
