It was a missed opportunity to not have most of them on Switch 1 & even if they do come to NS2, when is a big question. Probably make us wait another 2-3 years at the rate they operate.

I've seen his track record before with things and it's been pretty accurate.

He said he speculated that the Xbox port announcement would happen at a Developer Direct, but he said he can confirm it's coming to Xbox, and then said they're also coming to Nintendo Switch 2.

I think this has been gone over before, but 1.5 (especially) and 2.5 have some pretty funky nasty coding and optimizations that take advantage of PS4 level or higher hardware to achieve 60fps and better loads. These optimizations are like a crazy house of cards where certain mechanics are tweaked to account for the higher framerates.

1.5 and 2.5 on Switch is definitely possible, theoretically, but there are two issues... while these are PS2 games, they exist in a complicated pseudo emulated state that is a bit more demanding than just running a PS2-level game. Second, the Switch is fucking weak and nobody wants a repeat of the KH PS3 ports with those epicly long load times.

I think with enough effort they could have made something solid but it obviously wouldn't be a simple drag and drop port. I DO think that the cloud versions are worse than nothing and should never have existed.

I hope that, if they ever make native versions of the games available for Switch 2, anyone who bought the Cloud version gets the digital version for free. That should really be a basic and decent thing for Square to do.

They could've like, RE-reverse engineer those retail discs. Could just start over. Or at least port some of the games if not all of them. They expect me to believe they didn't keep DDD's source code either when they started doing those collections when it released?

No chance in hell FF10 won't at least get a remake like CC did. It's one of the most popular Final Fantasy.
I would love KH1 and KH2 to get that too.

Now, another remake trilogy like FF7R I doubt it will ever happen though. And that's cool. Because it's expensive and takes too many years to finish the story.

They're probably gonna do the thing of "$400=£400=€400 but we'll make sure to convert the rates for CAD and AUD and add a lil extra on top "
