I’d be all for the Mufasa prequel if it was animated. Not only is this live action, but it’s not even about an interesting character. Charming and Florian are tied for the most milquetoast male Disney characters. Phillip at least gets to fight a dragon.
Certain people are already complaining about how “woke Disney” will make him gay. Honestly, that’s one of the few ways they could actually make him compelling imo.

they could give her magic like in Once Upon a Time. would make her a more compelling villain and add something new to the team, and would make sense in the realm of Kingdom Hearts. but whether or not Disney would allow that, or if it would be handled well, is a different conversation.

I’m aging myself, but this talk of Cruella boss fights gave me flashbacks to chucking fruit at her in 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue.
In the 1996 live action 101 Dalmatians and the subsequent animated series, Roger is a video game developer. The film ends with him making a game based on the pups with Cruella as the villain. With the themes of Unreality and Quadratum being from a video game, it wouldn’t be hard to imagine Sora entering Roger’s game and fighting a more fantastical version of her. It taking place in a video game would also allow Sora to talk to the puppies if they appear.

Not every member has to be muscle for the group. Cruella's contribution is she understands the world of business and can more easily infiltrate business heavy worlds.
