Nomura be lookin like a cryptid
Reasons like this (among others) are why I'd prefer Star Wars characters to appear in a similar capacity to Final Fantasy characters. No worlds, no retreading movie plotlines, just encountering Din Djarin hunting Heartless bounties or fighting Darth Maul in a secret boss battle at the coliseum. That's what I've always hoped for but that's probably not what we're getting.I'm a decent way through Star Wars Outlaws and, being a fan of the Jedi Fallen Order / Survivor games too, I realised that so often my hesitation with Star Wars being in KH is that I feel it'll be hard to make it feel like a fully realised universe when we're just dipping into a tiny bit from one of the movies.
These games let us spend over 30 hours immersing ourselves in Star Wars lore and environments, making us feel our place in the series, and what KH will do is just plonk Sora in the middle of the action where he feels out of place.
It's also hard to not try and compare Square Enix's take on Star Wars with these other games. And that's something that KH has had to an advantage all these years - there were no AAA Disney games based on the movies so there wasn't anything to compare Kingdom Hearts too. Now we have a lot of games to compare against, and not just Star Wars, but any Marvel games as well.
Big salute to Nomura and the team in their attempts to pull this off. I believe in you all![]()
It's because of this that I'd want them to take a very Kingdom Hearts approach to it... don't adapt the Star Wars universe... adapt Return of the Jedi, with an extreme reverence and love for that film and ONLY that film. I don't want to feel like I've stepped into the giant world of Star Wars, I want to feel like I'm in the 1980s on the set of Return of the Jedi. I feel like those are two very distinct objectives and only the latter is achievable and beneficial to Kingdom Hearts.I'm a decent way through Star Wars Outlaws and, being a fan of the Jedi Fallen Order / Survivor games too, I realised that so often my hesitation with Star Wars being in KH is that I feel it'll be hard to make it feel like a fully realised universe when we're just dipping into a tiny bit from one of the movies.

Do we know that, if SW gets adapted, that they'd be doing the original films and cast, and not the new ones? I would've expected Disney to insist on their own movies.
It's guessed that the world used will be based on the 6th film, due to the AT-ST foot being in a forest that looks like Endor. But I'm just not sure how they'd contain Star Wars, even if they use just a single film, to one typical KH world.
I think that's low, I don't think Sony would announce a whole console within a game first. I'd see it being patched in shortly after alongside the free DLC though
Tomorrow starts the first week of September, and with all the events that have happened recently, I think it is very possible that we will hear about ML soon.
It’d have to be added in a patch at launch if they’d do that.My thought is it being in a secret area that unlocks only after a fairly difficult challenge like rescuing all the bots. They could put it behind glass where you can only see the silhouette and have a timer counting down to the reveal date and time. Once fully revealed, you’d be able to access it. Or it could turn into another playable stage where you get it as a reward.
