Really ask yourself; did I say or imply that Disney is killing Kingdom Hearts? Is that a good faith reading of what I said?

I think a lot of this though just comes down to Kingdom Hearts being a multi-company led franchise that has far more rights and legal issues (not to mention both companies needing to sign off on every part of the process) to contend with that just naturally makes things take a lot more time and effort to pull off. And so I imagine companies on both sides have often found it to not be worth doing for various reasons.
We can look at KH appearing a lot less on S-E side crossovers and point the finger at Disney as the culprit for example, but I think the culprit is most often just the plain old boring tons of paperwork and seals of approval needed for this stuff to get in place. And if say a game only has 3-months of time/budget to build a guest character, but the back-and-forth approval process alone makes KH characters take even an extra month longer than that, most would choose to stick with something they fully control and can confidently get done on time.
For what it's worth though, that seems to be something intentionally being changed now, and it's coming from the Square-Enix side. Nomura has said one of their biggest goals heading into this new arc is to greatly expand the KH audience and that they were enacting all sorts of new strategies and collabs to try and achieve that. It's even one of the reasons they gave for why KHML was geolocation. They want people out and about in the hopes that it can start word of mouth and encouraging more people to try the series. I think that's why rumours of things like Sora in Fortnite have a bit more weight now than they would've in the past. They are actively trying to pursue audience growth for the series (and I imagine the series saw a big boost with Sora in Smash and now they have a taste for it lol).

It’s worth pointing out that these games are also developed by third parties just like Square Enix with KH. KH is as much Disney’s “own stuff” as these are. And remember Disney Step and Music Parade are Japan-only titles for now. Disney at least cares enough to bring KH worldwide.
On the Epic Mickey front, that game had way less love compared to KH over the years. Even now, THQNordic is doing most of the heavy lifting when it comes to marketing the game. Disney knows video game marketing isn’t their forte, so they mostly leave it up to their publishers.
Disney said earlier this year that the partnership on KH has been a huge success and they’re looking forward to the next game. They also continue to do things like having KH MDG meet and greets at Disneyland for Halloween. They even gave Mickey a Keyblade this year after people were disappointed he didn’t have one in the past. Plus, the Disney Games JP account shows more love to the series than the SE-run accounts do. I don’t think any other Disney game franchise has received more ongoing support from the company than KH has.
I do think things have been changing some. Collabs do happen, and something like Sora in Smash does show that when there's a will, big things can get over the line. And I do agree it's just probably more complicated and maybe not usually worth the hassle. But even if JP only, when you have things like Disney Step and Disney Pixel RPG, you can't tell me there's a serious drive to integrate KH as a core property that they want to use, when acting on their own.
Whether it's Disney Pixel RPG, Mirrorverse or Dreamlight Valley, whenever Disney puts out a game that combines their IPs, KH isn't usually a property they turn to.

All I said was that I'm sceptical of any news where Disney is actually putting KH into a game of their own initiative. Game after game, that's just not something they've done. At the very least, that's not how I've experienced their relationship with the series in my time as a fan.
Whether it's Disney Pixel RPG, Mirrorverse or Dreamlight Valley, whenever Disney puts out a game that combines their IPs, KH isn't usually a property they turn to.

If the goal is greatly expanding the audience maybe don't use a mobile gacha GPS game that people already disregard just for having plot while also having prolonged bouts of silence where people start thinking it's not even coming out.

After thinking about it more, we shouldn’t put it past SE to launch a geolocation game when people may be more likely to pay to play from home…
I live in a humid southern state, so it would actually be better for me. It will be cool in the winter but more comfortable than what it is now. But if I were still living up north, I would not want to get out and about for this game in the winter months.

I searched it a few days ago and it kept popping up. Now you can only access directly from a URL.
And it happens in both stores, so it is something done on purpose.
Are they removing it from the searches to give it more visibility, so that when people search for KH you can only download Missing Link?
Is it time? Is it happening?

Good thing I downloaded the KHUx app on my device last month (thought I could just watch the DR cutscenes via the app but turned out it was an offline version of the game and it was brutally boring)
But yeah, it's not showing up in my region's App Store anymore either. Does this mean anything for Missing Link? Probably not. But an interesting development regardless!

Yeah 8/25 was the story finale date. The actual last update was in October ‘22 though.
Yeah, NZ finally just had a warm day too. 17C in the morning! Can finally go down to one layer.
I'd hope not, the offline version took up like 5GB of space. Even removing the character customisation, that's still a lot of data to dump into Missing-Link. If I hadn't upgraded my phone, I'd have been really annoyed since I was already stretched to the limits with storage space.

I also want to add that just now they have put all the games back on sale on Steam since their release
And this year is a leap year, so we must subtract one day. Also, we whould subtract the time between when it was removed and when I noticed it. But even if it's not exactly the same day, it's EXTREMELY close.
Btw, funny how after making the post it has spread through twitter. Every tweet I found is after my post.
Is it a coincidence and there are other crazy people who also search for KH in the stores every few days and noticed at the same time as I did, or do we have spies?
