I've been playing for a bit now, and out of the groups of prize pods I've fought and attacked only killed about a total of ten. Now I'm seeking better ways to ensnair and destroy the purple pains.

I tend to use/spam Magnera, poison, and thundaga, then shotlock with a multipl target shot that has you tap x repeatedly for more shots at the end.

But I'm both looking for a better method and a mroe effecient way of getting rid of them before they vanish, I'm also wondering how everyone else handles them.

I'm always using Stopga on them and then use what ever wide range attacks I have up my arsenal xD. TIme Splitter seemed alright to me too, I just always try to stop the time of them, when they are still next to each other ^^

Thats my other combo with magnera just to keep them in the same area then usually by the time stopgas almost worn off, I reuse it... speakign of I noticed the hands go back the more stops you use so do they stack?

I had the spell weaver command style active as aqua. I filled the guage whilst fighting the blue pots and when the prize pots spawned. I used magnet and final wish (o whatever the final move pf that style is called) and got about 40 of each of the 3 items :D

good question... but I don't think so, as if it would be too powerful and unfair in fx. mirage arena against others? I dunno though :/

Magnega + Bubble Blaster/Chaos Snake/Dark Volley/Flame Salvo/Meteor Shower is my strategy.

My deck when hunting for Prize Pods looks like this:
Magnega
Thundara
Thundara
Thundara
Magnega
Thundara
Thundara
Thundara

Just use magnega to get them all above your head then hit them 3 times with thundara to get tons of ingredients.

For Aqua it is quite easy and it is the same as Spikeyroxas said. I think that is the number 1 strategy you can do with Aqua as you can get well over 130 items from them each trip. Though it can be a pain, it pays off extremely well. A simple way is this, equip:

Magnega
Stopga
Magnega
(other area effect spells, like Poison, etc. because they hit a wide range of targets and can build your bar without doing a lot of damage)
(at least one strong spell, I used Mega Flare, but you can use anything that packs a punch)

For her you need to use these various magic spells to get Spell Weaver, and keep using them until you get her finish command (so don't spam "X"), then after you get the finish, use your strong command in your deck to finish off the other normal Unversed. Get Magnega ready and when the Prize Pods appear immediately cast it, and then use your finish, this should get you most of what you'll need, but then when your done, use another Magnega followed by Stopga and then shotlock the rest to get another good amount. After that they should dissapear, but if not, repeat Magnega and then hit them until they dissapear.

Terra and Ven are bit more difficult since they don't have things that do so many hits. For them I usually use Magnega followed by Mega Flare (Tornado Spin is great for Ven), then use Stopga and shotlock them. Rinse and repeat this process to get a good amount (like 80 items or more), but Aqua is superior in this aspect.

I usually go into a secondary command style before getting to them. Then I just use magnega and either Dark Volly (Terra), Meteor Shower (Aqua), or Flame Salvo (Ven).
