What would make the ultimate tragic hero?

I'm making my own anime story. And i was hoping to see what would you make your tragic character like. If i get enough post, i will tell my perfect tragic story.

There's no "perfect" tragic hero to me. Depending on the story, his development is always different. If I tell you "the tragic hero needs to sacrifice himself", then maybe it won't fit into what you have in mind or the story itself.
I like many kinds of tragic heroes, and I don't think I could specify that really. :x
