It showed enough, imo. He was somewhat docile around his mentor, yet persistent about his studies of Darkness and the Heart. His curiosity killed the cat, eventually, when he was overcome by what he discovered and the Darkness itself.

I see. So his curiosity led him to eventually conducting experiments and you know the rest. I always thought he just randomly snapped and went all evil but nao I understand. ._.

You also have to take into consideration all the possibilities of how he even came to be. Be it Terra, MX, or a mixture of them (with maybe a bit DS thrown in) the destructive potential towards Darkness was there. He just... went along with it.

Yeah. It's mind boggling. Honestly I don't like the idea of Terra becoming the present Xehanort, because he's a weilder. That means he has a strong heart and him falling to darkness he would lose his keyblade just like Riku right? But that still doesn't explain their similar hairstyle. :23:

Riku falling to Darkness isn't why he lost the Keyblade, it's because at the time Sora was stronger. Notice how in HB, Riku took the Keyblade back while being neck deep in Darkness. It was because he was stronger then, regardless of the Darkness.
If Terra and/or MX are involved inside Xehanort (which they probably are, especially Terra, going by their looks) it would explain how Xehanort managed to open the door to Radiant Garden's Heart.

While it is unknown what his deeds were comprised of prior to his meeting with Ansem the Wise, Xehanort has shown to be a cold, calculating, and ruthless villain. He is shown to value power, control, and knowledge above all other things and has no problem with betraying others, even those who saved his life, as shown when he betrayed Ansem. Seeing others as simply tools, Xehanort tortured many individuals with experiments that went beyond the boundaries of insanity. He had no sympathy or remorse for his actions and justified them by stating that it was all done in the name of research.
Eventually though, this pursuit of research was then shared with a lust for power. Xehanort eventually warped his mind into thinking that darkness is the heart's true power and the source of all power in general. He has also shown an extreme disregard for all life and wiped out his own world in pursuit of his goals and sacrificed his own body to gain more power over the creatures of darkness he created; the Heartless. His Heartless and Nobody are shown to be just as sadistic and warped as their prior existence. Both are shown to have no emotions other than anger and hatred and have no concern for anybody or anything other than themselves.
Xehanort's Heartless destroyed many worlds along with their respective populaces in order to form Kingdom Hearts, all the while manipulating others and, at the same time, feeding off the darkness in their heart. He wanted nothing but to have darkness overrun the realm of light and conquer the universe. Xemnas wished to access the power of Kingdom Hearts to both acquire a heart, and to reign over others using his new powers. To this end, he took the hearts of billions and turned them into heartless for the simple reason of having Sora defeat them and return their hearts to Kingdom Hearts, making it stronger for when Xemnas took its power.
Both portions of Xehanort, which make up his ultimate characterization, care for nothing but control over the universe and having ultimate knowledge. They both have warped minds to the point of breaking the edge of insanity, believing that darkness is all that truly exists in the heart and that it should be used as the ultimate source of power. It is unknown if Xehanort has truly been destroyed, or if he is still out there in some shape or form. Regardless, Xehanort's actions have led to at least eleven years of suffering and ruin with people's lives being consumed and destroyed by his warped ambitions. It is unknown if his past was comprised by the same horrendous events, but it seems very plausible.

I found this some place, I think it tells you about his Personality

If ya noticed, Xehanort is actually the best Villian in all of the Square Enix games if not video game history. Most villians try to destroy one world and usually fail. However Xehanort was able to destroy countless worlds with no problem. TAKE THAT SEPHIROTH!!!

I'm not going to get heavily involved in this, but the two characters goals were completely different from one another and they aren't related. It would be different if you were comparing Sephy to Garland etc. seeing as they are in the same series.

But the fact is that most villians either want to destroy or rule the world. Xehanort was able to destroy countless worlds and that is more than most villians can say. Give the white haired freak his props.

Sephiroth wrecked quite a bit of havok in his own world. Seeing how his world is about equal to the entire KH cosmos when you compare the two games (airship = Gummi ship) with each world being less than a city in a regular FF, you're making a big deal out of nothing, and off topic as well. Simmer down then.
