I have the Original. The new one is too small, and overheats quickly.

I have the old one. I prefer it more than the thin one because it has an internal fan, thus protecting it from overheating.

and you dont need to turn it on to change discs.

and it doesn't take up all the space in your bag when you take it anywhere.

I bought my Dad a silver one for Christmas a few years ago <3 I want it.

I wouldn't chose the new one over the old one if you payed me..

I have the new one, in fact, I have two of the new ones. Both of them work perfectly, never had a problem with either. At one point I have both the new one and the old one. I preferred the new one to it. It's smaller, which is convenient as I can put it almost anywhere in my room provided i don't block the vent.

Either is good, I suppose.

I had the kind that breaks. The kind that breaks really, really often. I got a new one, but it was the same model. Broke after a year due to what seems like natural causes. I gave it a decent funeral, though.
Well, if you regard taking it out to the back yard and smashing it to bits with a hammer, then it was a fine funeral.

I prefer the slimline ps2, It may get a bit overheated but at least the disk does not end up getting stuck inside the console because the disk tray mechanism brakes (It swallowed up one of my fav games and i had to force open the disk tray using a scewdriver).
And because it can get overheated, i find that i play on it for 1 or 2 hours at a time rather than 6 hours on the old model so i dont suffer from playstation headaches and short term dizzynesss.

It is so cute and sexy !
