for me it is a tossup between XII and I.

XII was cool for me because that was the first final fantasy game I ever completed, and I just liked it.

I well for me I love it for its classical value and well if it were not for that game there would be none of the others. Plus that game was pretty impressive for its time, albeit with a few bugs, but that was typical of that generation of games.

Actually if not for the first final fantasy pulling Square off of the brink of bankruptcy there would be no Kingdom Hearts either!!!!!!

I like IX alot, and VII is great, and IV. But I love them all.

I'm fond of X, though the battle system was almost as frustrating as FFT (helplessly watching your characters die).

FFXII is great, I'm surprised that it's so disliked by many.

Between the two, there are different things I liked about each of them, but XII's gameplay was more enjoyable to me.

XII was good of course my main dislike is when in the more difficult parts where there are about 10 enemies attacking you and you cast a spell like flare it takes a really long time to load and then go through all the graphics. Problem was that the PS2's processor can only go so fast.

I really don't consider Tactics a Final Fantasy game. The fourth has the best overall narrative and characters, while the fifth has the best character customization and boss battles. FFIX is like playing a modernized version of FFIV.

it's some kinda tie between VII, VIII, and X.

XII was awesome. However, as it isn't on the list, I chose X.

It really brought out the 'fantasy' part in Final Fantasy, what with spells and summoners and evil blue haired guys who married the main character's girl.
