Hello,
As most of you already know, KH2 improved the gummi system by making it more like an on-rail shooter as opposed to the original incarnations space invader style gameplay. However, in doing this, it created a lot of new areas that fell into 2 categories, either very cool, or very weird. Some notable "cool" ones were assault of the dreadnaught and the asteroid sweep, which were pretty impressive in detail back in the day. Then you have the strange ones, like Sunlight storm and Broken/Ancient highway, which raise more questions than any kingdom hearts game to date. Why are these medieval style ruins in the phantom storm level? why does this level look like snot? who made these crumbling ruins that float endlessly in space? and many more that will likely never be answered. Some I can kind of understand, like splash island connecting to a water themed level, or assault of the dreadnaught connecting to twilight town (a place that's closer to the end than any other world) but the other come completely out of left field. Then again, back in the day I guess it was customary to add in weird Segway level that don't connect back in the day.
