An embarrassing picture of Aced at the Christmas party.
Been guessing that it's Axel/ Lea or maybe Saix.

Oh yeah, I forgot he wasn't given one. But why would that create a paradox? Not quite. Luxu was specifically *not* given a copy of the book of prophecies so that he wouldn't create a paradox.
Until I see a theory I like better I'm sticking with my existing theory which I'll cliff note here...
MoM had one apprentice beyond the Foretellers and luxu, an apprentice he split into two like Xehanort did to Ven, creating two secret apprentices. The body and dark half of the heart were set in Dandelion's world to execute the MoM's next plan there, calling themselves "Darkness". The other was just a heart of light which he stored inside of that box in order to keep it safe, alive, and untainted. The long term plan is to reunite Darkness and Light into a singular being and they are actually the seventh chess piece on the board.
Why he is doing this? No idea but given the box is marked X-super which sounds like the name of a weapon my guess is that the purpose of splitting this apprentice and rejoining them into 1 was to create a weapon just like Xehanort tried to do with Ventus and Vanitas. It didn't really work out for him but the MoM it probably will. The box will be opened, Darkness and Light will rejoin, and a special super key like the X-blade will be born for whatever plans the MoM has in store.
Didn't Nomura said in a interview we would find out what was inside the black box in KH3?! I've the feeling he said something like "MoM won't appear in KH3, but what's inside the black box will be revealed."
I'm with Chaser. Not even Nomura knows yet. He has some ideas, but he still didn't decided what exactly is.
Right now the box is carrying Nomura's salt about FF15 and Verum Rex copies, that's why it's so heavy.

Because knowing the stuff you are about to observe before you actually do the observing is contradictory.
Spoiler ShowLike I said in GameFAQs, I feel like KH3 as a game built-up the Box's content to be a heart, and here's why:
* Pandora's Box sole content left is hope.
* Xemnas tells Vexen and Luxord that the Box has hope in it.
* The Big Hero 6 world tells us that hearts are like hope.
For whatever reason, the MoM needed that heart to remain in the box and cross various Worldlines with Luxu until the time was right.
And unless I'm mistaken, wasn't one of Luxu's jobs to pass on the book of prophecy, along with No name? Maybe he put the book in the box and never got along to passing it on...? :/
Yep. IT'S TOO MUCH OF A COINCIDENCE that Ienzo utilizes the term "box". And this is the first time they've said something like that. Every time it's been how Sora has others' hearts inside of him, not that they're "boxed".I agree with this rationale. In addition, in regards to the hearts within Sora, Ienzo describes them as being separated into boxes, further driving home the point. Should it be a heart, perhaps it's the one the MoM may have went through the trouble of saving, therefore erasing him from existence.
That was in reference to MoM's eye being in the Keyblade, not what was inside the box. Luxu's reaction (in English) to what is in the box is "But why?"Is it also a coinkydink that in Back Cover, (at least in English) when the MoM tells him what it is, Luxu goes "Ewww!"
We also have Xemnas' quote from DDD.Yep. IT'S TOO MUCH OF A COINCIDENCE that Ienzo utilizes the term "box". And this is the first time they've said something like that. Every time it's been how Sora has others' hearts inside of him, not that they're "boxed".

"You had better check. Make sure the box's contents match what's on the label...since you have been chosen."
Hahaha yeahThe character development for anyone who isn't named Sora
