Mickey is cool so he'd say something like this.
Dear sora riku and kairi,
I have devestating news... riku.... your car lights on and neibors complained so your car was towed...i'm sorry.
- mickey
Riku: my my mina van. (sobs and runs away) that's what he would say!

My guess is that it originally was thrown in to be a lead-in to some hazy idea of a sequel that Nomura and team hadn't come up with the details of yet. Right now, my guess is that the scene where Kairi shows Sora and Riku the letter will take place a little bit after their arrival on Destiny Islands, and right after the end of Coded - maybe Coded will end with Mickey making some discovery out of Jiminy's digitized journal, which he urgently writes and sends the letter to Sora about.

I imagine more something like :

"I can't say you too much in a letter.
Just know the situation is very dangerous.
Come to the Castle for I say you more.
It is about Xehanort

---- King Mickey"

Well, I think his letter is about Xehanort... Anyway, maybe we'll even never know...

Lol. Nice one.
I think it can talk about Coded or BBS.

Aaaand back to the topic right now.
I just thought - wouldn't it be cool if Coded was (and probably is) involved in the whole mess of BBS and Days? Let's assume the BBS folks are involved in Days (enough theories supporting this are running around the forum and make sense). From the trailers and such going on about the game, Jiminiy's journal said something about "putting them to rest, ending their misery". What if it was talking about Terra, Ven and Aqua, and thus it ties in everything nicely back to Sora in Coded, which would explain why Mickey sent them the letter? Other than Sora and Riku being kickass, naturally.

^The "Them" that Jiminy's journal mentions have been confirmed to be the enemies of Coded, whoever they may be. So it may be VAT, but only if you're willing to consider that they all become villains.

Aqua might be the 14th.
Terra fights Sora in KHFM+.
The trailers show interesting stuff about Ven.
Not quite villains, but hey, the Organization weren't really Disney Villain evil either. It's possible XD *lives on in her fantasy world because she wants more Aqua*

Dear Sora, Riku and Kairi.
Please come to the castle, I've baked a cake for you.
Yours truly, King of the Disney Castle, Mickey.
